Well, this game will get Happ's ERA to a lower 5.

Doesn’t matter how he’s done this year. It only mattered how he was today and today he was very, very good.

Why is it so hard for many fans here to admit that sometimes the other guy pitched well?

There should be an off season post grad course in 2 strike, 2 out pitching

Just throw a bender....ANY bender or off speed. Does not even have to be a good one. Does not matter. As long as it is at the top of the knee or lower it will work. The contemporary hitter can't hit it, can't lay off it, can't even see it more often than not. Lucky to even foul it off normally. Generally speaking, the Contemporary Hitter is dreaming of 6 run HR's as he Bugs Bunny's at the passing baseball.

We shouldn't sacrifice defense so a .230 Sam Travis get action over a .230 JBJ.

It may be more that JBJr is much less than a .230 hitter vs Lh'ers, especially breaking ball guys like Happ. Don't have the number but maybe .150+-

Vazquez really looks like he could use a few days completely off. Even his “off” days he’s been in the line-up at 1B or dh.

Agreed. Once Sale "retired", Leon became superfluous and AC wanted to ride Vaz's bat. Now he's run that into the dirt. Where's the rest strategy ?

The entire season it seems Benintendi is invisible. I'm hoping he has a Devers breakout.

When do you want that "breakout" to happen. Anytime in the next decade would be useful.

Platoon situation. Going into this game, JBJ lifetime vs. Happ was 2-17, Travis was 2-3. Travis has had pretty good numbers against southpaw starters this year, JBJ has been terrible.

Now, if you had said Travis should have been in left, Beni in center, Mookie in right and JD at dh, I’d agree.

Heading for 3-52 when trailing after 6 . That is a stupefying stat, exceeded only by a losing record at Fenway for the reigning WS champs

Betts plays above average CF, but he is no JBJ. I don't think I've seen as good of a CF as JBJ since Mike Cameron.

Betts covers ground and if he gets his glove on it he will catch it. But he gets hideous jumps playing CF. Knows it and he positions oddly trying to protect against it which does not help. So does Beni. But at least moving Beni to CF does not take one of the best if not the best RFer in baseball out of RF. The dif between Beni and Mookie in CF is not worth what we lose when Mookie is not patrolling the toughest RF in baseball....Fenway's. Let Beni flop around out there in CF if anything and get a serious bat to play LF or get a solid if not spectacular defensive CFer that is a more consistent threat at the plate than Jackie Bunny Jr.. I mean Jackie Bradley Jr.

Something like your scenarios will happen this winter. If they pay JBJr $9 or $10M, shame on them

Anyone notice a difference in the mature Yankee relievers and the tryouts the Sox are conducting ? And a few of those Yankees were available to all.

As were Nelson Cruz and EE

PAD THOSE STATS....PAD THOSE STATS.....PAD THOSE STATS.

Gotta' figure the guys that did go to the WH learned some interesting chants while there.
