I could've believed the 38 runs, but not winning the first 3 games. I was hoping for a split at best, especially since the Yankees just took 2 out of 3 in Minnesota

You've got to set your hope standards higher.

Jackson is not feeling good with Sale going tomorrow. 4 game sweep I see it. Beat down in Boston. Come to our house and get slapped.

I was looking at the schedule and this coming week is huge as well. 3 against Tampa at home and then hit the road and play 4 against the Yankees. We would have to run the table and we likely might be back in the division. Difficult to do but the Sox have everything in their hands right now.

Are we allowed to actually enjoy this 3-game streak or do we have to be a Debbie Downer and say "oh if we don't sweep, it's all for naught." I'll choose to enjoy this series regardless of Sunday

Finish them! Would be nice for sale to pitch a good game against the skankees.

Meanwhile Kimbrel is killing it in Chicago. Getting saves left and right

And yes Toronto came back lmao.

Kimbrel killing it? Lol!!!

He has a 6.75 ERA and a 1.69 WHIP.

Has allowed 4 dingers in 10.2 innings.

And even the saves he has gotten is like October of last year, always in a jam

Dude, this rotation has been a nightmare. Rothschild took the blame afterwards. He very well may end up fired before the season ends. Absolutely pitiful. With the Nats and Giants back in it, the market lost 3 potential starters in Scherzer, Strasburg and Bumgarner. Now, the top is Stroman and Thor and both of them are coming from teams disinclined to deal with the Yanks. The Sox and twins have really beaten the piss out of our rotation

Tanaka should have been the linchpin for the Yankmees, not Paxton and not CC. Paxton like most of these jet fuel merchants is too often in the middle of the plate and CC is effective but can't get past 60 pitches if his life depended on it. Tanaka was so far the real let down for the Yankmee Rotation in this series.

The pitching is so awful in MLB that I am beginning to wonder if pinching the Corner OFer's is simply an acknowledgement that the pitchers are constantly smack in the middle of the plate for the most part, exhibiting no command whatsoever and allowing any 150 lb soaking wet 2nd baseman to pound balls into the power alleys. While the rocket ship allows hitters to barely touch balls with the barrel of the bat and hit it out, you still have to hit it pretty solid to hit line drives into the power alleys. More pitches wild in the strike zone would produce just that result. FB's from the belt to the thigh smack down main st are in abundant supply these days. So are Sliders for that matter now that I think about it.

Clearly it does not matter how hard you throw it if you leave it there. Paxton could not throw it past anybody in his start. Ssle could not throw 97 in that location past anybody in his last start. Eovaldi could not throw 99 past anybody in his relief stint. Weak hitters foul 98 off in that location and good hitters smack the s*** out of 98 in that location.
