I wonder what happened. I saw that he posted something on Twitter within the past 24 hours. RIP.

 

Edit: He was found dead in his hotel room in Texas (they were in town to play the Rangers). No foul play suspected.

 

So then it was likely either a stroke/heart attack, drugs, or suicide. Very depressing.

Jesus, what is with the Angels having pitchers die? Since 2009 Nick Adenhart, Tommy Hanson and now Tyler Skaggs have all passed away while playing for the Angels. Rest in Peace to Skaggs, 27 is way too young.

But this Skaggs story is a shocker. Very reminiscent of Darryl Kile...

But before anyone assumes it’s an overdose (or an adverse medical reaction), it is worth noting his father passed away at 40. So it could be congenital...

I saw the Red Sox play in Anaheim three days after Nick Adenhart’s death there 10 years ago.
