Keep in mind the 30 min rain delay to start

 

Even with the rain delay from the 7:30 start time we are close to 3 hours playing time and not even through the 7th inning. The only thing that will provide some relief is if the Sox don't have to bat in the 9th. That would be wonderful on all accounts.

I remember a story where this boxer kept making the sign of the cross before every round. A reporter asked the boxer's manager if that actually works. The manager replied: "if he knows how to box, it does."

Yup

Sure looked like a knee to me.

I thought it looked like he rolled the ankle twice on that play. I didn’t see anything that indicated a knee injury.

In fairness I’m not a religious man myself. I just say Jesus and god a lot. Helps me not swear so much.

Speaking of checked swings, who can ever forget when Jim Rice checked his swing and cracked his bat? Strong as bull and there weren't any weight rooms then. And then there were the legends of his 400 yard drives in golf.
