JDM gets the Sombrero . He saw 6 pitches, not one of which was in the strike zone box, but he still strikes out.

Worth pointing out AGAIN that we only turned our usual mighty 2 runs going into the late innings into a mighty 3 runs.

Same handed pitching certainly is more apt to get same handed hitting out. But the Sox have turned that into a mantra for the season. Our guys have been getting pummeled by same handed pitching all season. The L/R/L/R orders also contribute to our inability to bunch hits since we can't hit same handed pitching for snot except for one guy....the X man.....maybe Vaz a little bit.

Agreed Jung. For the crap this BP is getting.... This time last year we wouldn't be near as upset because the offense was putting up ridiculous numbers.... I'm not even asking for ridiculous numbers..... Just asking for more than 3 damn runs when we have good pitching. With the talent we have on paper that isn't too much to ask for. Honestly they are just as responsible for this s*** record as the BP is if not more.

4 K's by JDM--he hurt us far more than Workman.

Over several weeks time, I cannot for my life imagine what JDM is seeing as they spin low outside sliders past his bat, over and over again.

Cora is really screwing up. Nunez has sucked all season, and Holt has gotten some timely hits, especially in late innings. He tied the game night before llast in the bottom of the 9th after Devers hit into the DP.

Nunez is the usual DOA, but Martinez for all his video study cannot figure out how they are pitching him, and yet it is so consistent.

the pitching, including Workman, was plenty good enough to win this game. The lineup once again stinks it up.

Yup! Honestly I was thinking we could get back into it with series against Baltimore, Toronto and Detroit coming up.... They are probably pumped to play our slumping ass. I don't see us beating anyone right now.

So do I. Unless Nunez has some ridiculous numbers against Chavez?

Holt is no miracle maker, but I believe he is a more disciplined hitter who can work walks or slap singles just over the infield. Nunez jumps at one pitch, and old school PH technique, and ends the possibilities.

Not a fun team to watch lately and you just know the outcome of this game is not going our way again.. They need a huge change soon..

So Barnes tries the FB and gets his first guy. Don't worry, he'll drop back to the curveball shortly and things will happen.

So that is an example of why I would not have wanted Work facing Cabrera. Need hard stuff to get Cabrera out in a pinch and Rick was much more capable of that than even a fresh Work. Notice that even though Barnes has a serious Curve, he went after Cabrera with all hard stuff.

Notice the result of starting with the curveball by Barnes. A 2 out walk. Better go back to the Fb and make them earn it.

I f***ing hate this BP so much..... And this offense. Not sure what I hate worse. Even the wins we aren't putting up big numbers. 3 runs is nothing to brag about. An insurance run or 2 wouldn't kill this team.

And you are dead wrong tonight. The bullpen has been fine, but the lineup sucks, especially that game-tying error by Vazquez in the 8th. Only two things wrong with our lineup--they can't field and they can't hit.

No, no, no. Don't you watch the games? When Barnes got nailed the other night and blew the lead, he threw nothing but fastballs, which Texas teed off on.

Home plate ump must have Bruins tickets. The 0-0 to Chavis was about as much a strike as there is.

OK...come on....get this done Sox

Somehow I have to think the board would have liked to see us win this on a hit or even a sac fly.
