Both the O's and KC are on pace to go 50-112 this season. Definitely need expansion.

Like the European soccer leagues, if you can't win at least 60, the team reverts to AAA for a season, where it has to win its league to get back to MLB.

Like how Brasier got refocused pounding the strike zone at 97 to get the third out after giving up a couple shots earlier. But a high leverage guy. Not really

Like the idea, but not gonna happen here.

Snell got shelled.

Tanaka got tanned.

Let's go Sox!

Hey, cut that out. No Pollyanna stuff on the game thread, moon.

Sox did what they had to do to a team that is probably tanking. Winning these games should be a given. I worry about losing.

Sale against a guy who has a 5.35 ERA tonight. Sox should have no problem tonight too.

It's baseball, man. The 38-20 Yanks with Tanaka on the mound played the 21-38 Jays with Clayton Richard last night.

The 35-22 Rays with Snell played the 22-34 Tiggers.

You'll never guess who won those games.

No kidding, like I haven't watched this game since for 60 years. You got to beat the bad teams, when your chasing. Simple. Yanks whooped the Orioles, in which that helped them get their good lead.

Sale tonight, what's worse, losing the game of course. We should win this game. No excuses.

Well I was busy last night, then turned on the TV briefly to see we were down 3-0, then I turned away. Shocked, but glad, to see a win

That has been my life lately with a newborn. Can watch parts and then go 5 or 6 innings missing a bunch hahaha.

It's baseball, agree, but it's also statistics. Right now the Royals win a paltry 32% of their games, basically 1 in 3. We win a magnificent 52% of our, basically 1 in 2. So the Royals are actually a decent bet to win 1 of these 3 games based on their and our winning percentages.

The Yankees win 64% of the time, so let's be generous and say they win 2 of 3. The Jays win 37% of the time which means 1 of 3, so even they are a good bet to take one of three vs. the Yankees.

However, I emphatically agree with your basic point--in baseball, anything can happen, even when one starter is way better than the other.
