Absolutely nothing swing and the ball is way over the center field wall. Villar literally just dropped the head of the bat on the ball.

Well they better chip away. Right now they have basically two holes in the starting rotation with the injury to price.

This is why pitching depth is important. Two injuries and your starting a 31 year old sack of s*** who got cut by the Reds.

What sucks is that we have nobody in the minor leagues right now.

Once again, a slow pitch leftie is giving the RH lineup trouble through 3 innings. Let's see if Josh Smith can hold the mighty O's to the 4 spot.

Any lineup that features 3 consecutive sub .200 hitters is going to slow roll. Nunez can break through with one more hit, but that lineup is close to playing 9 vs 6.

Steven Wright really blew it. f*** him.

Certainly agree with that sentiment. But DD kept him around knowing he was troubling with the knee physically and his overall situation as a shitbird. The team went into this year with no real pitching help. Brian Johnson is not the answer either.

I didn't think Smith was all that bad. Yes, he loaded the bases, but then he struck out two. The dinger came on a curve low in the zone.

As for pitching depth, the Sox started with five pretty good ones--Sale, Price, ERod, Eovaldi, and Porcello--in the rotation, and you can't ask for much more than that. The problem was they weren't ready, not that there was no depth.

I honestly don't think the bottom of the lineup is as big a problem as the Orioles pitcher, who has good stuff and is really hitting his spots. Thus no hits by the top 5 in the order and 2 hits by the bottom 4. Plus I don't think any Sox player has hit the ball hard yet.

Bradley sees 6 pitches , swing and miss on the 6th, out of the zone. Of the 6 pitches, only one was a true strike. But enough about JBjr that hasn't already been said.
