He doesn’t trust his stuff, he has no idea of how to set hitters up (and Vazquez is not much help in that regard) and no indication that he’s even trying to learn the craft.

Agreed completely! And there is just no consistency with him. His pitches are all over the place..... Been this way since the beginning of his career. Can have nice stretches of games and then follows it up with total crap. He doesn't seem to show any improvements in his pitching either.

Imho, last year he was the best hitter in baseball. He's got a good shot of being the best hitter again this year.
