These pitches are all over the map. Slider out and up....since when? Change in the dirt followed by another Change in the hitter's eyes. Just a disaster waiting to happen.

Not baseball related, but on the stream I’m watching I just saw Russell westbrook had a 20/20/20 game tonight. Jesus that is absurd

 

Kyrie could do that, and still manage to lose.

I disagree. They didnt score, but he looked awful

His velocity isn’t there that’s for sure but his accuracy at least got better outside of the walk. But I agree this isn’t the Sale I’m used to seeing.

The way hitting has changed in MLB (juice baseball plus shift) you simply cannot throw a FB up in the zone for a strike any longer. FB's have to rise out of the zone. You can throw two seams down though that pitch seems to be this decade's disappearing pitch. Nobody is throwing it any longer. If your FB just hangs there at the top of the zone, that pitch is meat and if you then throw your Change in the same location your FB is landing, Good NIGHT!

The 0-0 Slider was the best one he has thrown tonight. He is pitching. But its a struggle. If he can get that Slider to land he would at least have that.

Agreed. Not the typical Sale we are used to seeing but he’s making it work and keeping this game very manageable. I’m more concerned about the dead bats right now.

Bogies back to just giving them the first strike; not even looking like he’s going to swing.

 

He hasn't change at all. As a runs driven spot in the lineup, he needs to attack strike 1

Agreed. Very different. But whatever. His fast ball isn’t there but the breaking ball is there and he’s killing it right now.
