Not trying to put a damper on things, but not much happened at last year's meetings. This offseason was supposed to be a lot different. Let's see if it is.

According to Boras, the stat geeks have ruined free agency.

Awww ... it’s no longer the competitive spending free-for-all that he can take advantage of.

And to be blunt, if anyone ruined free agency for the players, it wasn’t the stat geeks; it was Boras...

Pray tell us more. :)

Scott Boras is a convenient and easy target for fans . Curt Flood is a hero to fans and to labor unions. It is all a matter of perspective.

Stat geekes are a convenient and easy target for fans and agents.

I don't really have a problem with Boras. He's just trying to get his guys paid as much as possible, which gets him paid as much as possible. He must be doing a pretty good job if he keeps getting hired by players.

He is the best at what he does. But pointing fingers at other people who have simply created better evaluation techniques should be beneath him...

3 years $55 million seems like a lot of money for Andrew McCutchen. I really like the guy, and I'm happy he's leaving the Yankees, but he's been on the decline

I realize he's been injured, but they don't want to get a look at him in ST before eating $38mil?

This would be like the Panda situation with us. Whoever signs Tulo only pays minimum and Toronto pays the rest of the $38 mil.

It is a pile of money. We're really seeing some inflated prices this offseason-Corbin, Eovaldi and now McCutchen. I guess that's a good thing as far as the baseball economy goes.

I actually wish the Yanks singed him to this foolish deal.
