Anyone who thinks the division is in the bag is out of their minds. Sox need to rebound and win tonight!

It's an airtight, 100% lock, and I'm as sane as ever.

I am the self-proclaimed, sanest person on this forum, and I completely agree.

Go Sox!!!

Oh boy, I was hopeful about tonight's game until the forum's 2 biggest nutbags declared it a lock.;)

LOL.

The division win not tonight's game win.

Me too. Check that game thread.

I know.

We've already discussed this.

That's why I was wondering why you questioned the statement's direction towards the season or tonight's game.

The SOX have a 7 game advantage in the loss column. They have 6 games left with the Yankems, 3 games left against the Guardians, and 1 game remaining against the Astros. How does that equate to a 100% lock?

It was a lock in August 5th.

I so wish ESPN didn't have this game. Its killing me to have to wait for an 8:00PM start and then knowing I am going to have to depend on WEEI for audio.

A Red Sox division title is a 97.3 percent lock, according to one source:

... and a 99 percent lock, according to another source:

Only chance of the Yankee's to even have a chance to win the division is to take minimum 5 of 6 against the sox this month. Even at that they would have to make up another 4 games with the remaining 13. The only thing that isn't a lock is home field. Tonight's game is big for that. If the Astros sweep they are just 6 back. Sox win and it's back to 8

Because it's impossible a team as great as the Sox can lose all 10 or even 7 out of 10.

Impossible means impossible. It's a lock made of titanium.

LOL!

I don’t see any indicator to expect an epic collapse for the Sox.

Notice how often umps miss the outside part of the plate early in games. As bad as they are generally they seem to be utterly incapable of seeing the outer edge early in games no matter who they are.
