Pom isn't better than Johnson. He would allowed all the runs to come in.

Lol this.

Johnson hands down has looked better than Poms...... this season anyway.

OB says the SOX organization was unhappy about how the O's handled last night's game. Unless I'm wrong, once the games starts, a postponement of the game would be the decision of the head umpire.

The Orioles still decided to start the game, a game that if you looked at the forecast, realistically had almost no chance of being completed. I was debating going to the game, looked at the forecast and decided hell no. I was shocked when I got an alert at work telling me Benintendi hit a homer in the first inning. There was no way they shoud've even tried that, and that is why Cora and the Sox are mad.

Random scoring question: Does Mookie get an RBI for that? I know normally if you hit into a double play, you will not get an RBI, but in that absurdly weird play, where Mookie was thrown out at 1st, and JBJ at 3rd, attempting to go 1st to 3rd on a groundout, which is some MLB the show type cheese that dudes do with Billy Hamilton and Dee Gordon, does Mookie get an RBI?

I would say yes. It wasn't a conventional DP.

Pretty sure he does. I think the no RBI provision onlly kicks in on a force DP or a reverse force DP (think 1st baseman steps on the bag and then throws to second with the 2nd out being on a tag).

He does get an RBI. They boys in the booth are right for a change. That was a bad base running play with Beni, a LH hitter waiting in the wings to face Gibson and JBJ already on 2nd base.

Yes, because we scored on the single out... the second came after the score. That's one for Betts after he lost 3 last night.

Another anger point in the rain-out last night is that the players waited around two hours for it to be called but right after that it cleared up and no more rain was predicted. Why didn't they wait 30 minutes more? Or even start play in the lighter rain before 30 minutes.

Totally STUPID base running by JBJ. Dumb. Sox are horrible running into outs. He was in scoring position with Benny up. What an idiot!

Yup, not good situational baseball. Esp true with JBJ because you know his speed will allow him to score on any type of single.

Again, that decision is made by the head umpire, so fug him.

They said the field was in awful condition and would've taken a while to get it fixed up. It wasn't just minor rain, it was literally pouring most the night in Baltimore

I thought that might be true last nite when I said this... but you're report is the first time I heard it. So now i feel a wee bit better about the lost night in Baltimore... and the lost homers.

No matter hoe we look at it, there was so many things wrong with the way the game was handled last night. The Orioles shouldn't of started the game, whether it be postponed, or a lengthy delay, that is another debate, but it shouldn't have been started, period. Heavy rain was expected by 7:30 at the latest and it was expected until 10-10:30. Once they decided to start the game, which was a mistake, it should be one of those things where its suspended, and we continue playing at another time or the dumb ass Orioles have to continue playing that game at 11, when the rain ended. It is absolute ******** they can start this game, give up 5 runs, and decide to delay the game three hours, then get a re-do at the game. We wasted a Price start, wasted the time of both teams and players, and of the fans. Just stupid.

I'm still not happy about it, at all. It is a really dumb rule that the home team decided to start this game, got down 5-0, and get a redo.

That can be easily fixed. Just start the make-up game where the postponed game ended. Currently, they only do that after 5 innings if the game is tied.
