Having 3 regulars out made me nervous, but we still won. Onward we go!

The SOX could beat a NL team with all their regulars out. If the SOX loved Price, they'd let him pitch against the senior(inferior) circuit and he'd win even with the slop he had against the Yankems.

Betts using the opposite field is nice. It shows he has made adjustment to them pitching him away, if he pulls those pitches it usually results in popups.

Rodriguez with adjustments. Was he tipping pitches in his previous two starts? Hard to tell, but his changeup is a plus pitch and gets him outs.

My guess is he just blew chunks the last couple games, and Chunks is his dogs name.. The Yankees at home will do that to pitchers.

Nothing to see here. Move on.

I always worry about tipping pitches.

He seems to have a history in it. And if any team has the resources to research it, it is the yankees!

Is there any news after the game on whether Devers hurt his shoulder on the headfirst slide into home plate?

I looked and could find nothing. Plus he played 3b for 2 more innings.

For whatever reason, he got away from his changeup in his last start. He threw it more last night, which IMO, was the difference maker.

It was great to see him pitch so well and so efficiently. Great to see Kelly with a good outing as well.

Great series all around!

Next 20 games Sox do not play a team .500 or better. Real easy part of schedule. Sept. is going to be the toughest Month, from here on out.

Outside of about 4 teams, the competition seems so much weaker this year.

he's so young it healed instantly like Wolverine. good to be young.....
I noticed in his next AB that he took a big rip and then he rotated the arm and should as if it bothered him, and then he took another big rip on his next swing. I don't think it is anything that will bother him much going forward.

He has been watching a bunch of World Cup recently. Flopping in pain is the rage in this world right now. You should try it.
