Whats truly weird is that Newcomb is at 86 pitches just to get out of the 3rd. Pom is not much better. Erod is starting to look "normal" but there is nothing really normal about any of what is going on with ML pitching these days.

Amazing things happen when your sub .200 hitters can contribute. Bradley's triple last night, and Swihart/Vazquez singles with MoB and 2 outs. Moving Hanley opened things up.

If by some miracle Pom gets thru the 4th without giving up another run, Cora needs to replace him for the 5th.

So Pom cannot even get a whiff of enough innings to be in line for a win. Muscled up to catch 91 low in the zone once while never having shown a single sign of being able to throw an effective rising four seam FB.

I'd say they have to make a decision on Pom.

I have to be honest and say I do not understand why anybody could think he is a viable MLB starter--or reliever. He has two pitches, a slow fast ball and a knuckle curve, and not enough control to make them even remotely effective.

Nice try Drew. Your participation trophy will be forwarded to your new address, probably the DL. Velasquez will be in to mop up and should become the new 5th starter taking Pomeranz's place. I know he sucked early last year and got hot with the weather but how much patience can they have with the assortment of junk he throws ?

Thanks Pomeranz, awesome start today.

Not sure what to say about Poms. He’s been s*** all year..... night and day from what he was last year.

And now its time to remove Pomeranz from the rotation...I would give Wright a shot at it.

Good call......Sounds about right to me as well unless Wright still needs to be stretched out to start.

I'll take it but that was a 2018 MLB home run if I ever saw one. Thats just a fly ball with legs.

I am not a big fan of Wright...but Pom is just not an option any more

A few years ago I went to a combined 5 Red Sox games in Boston/Baltimore , and every single one was somehow started by Wade Miley.

Lol. How likely would that be to happen?

You, my friend, were cursed!

Bringing POM out to start the 4th was the big mistake. Cora, hopefully, will learn from these mistakes.
Pom should be on a short leash from here on out this season, because there are 2 capablemukri-inning guys in the pen to back him up. I agree that Cora should have had him hit the showers after the 3rd inning.

Pulled his head out of his ass.

I am of the opinion that Vazquez needs a dl stint so he can receive eyebrow transplants.

I am almost certain that his current eyebrows are a liability during games.

This would explain his s*****-ish play so far this year.

I don't think Pom is done as a pitcher. But there is something not right that they know or something not right that they don't know. Time to give up the fantasy that he is fine I think.
