Erod likely to continue to have a tough time with this team. They are good, disciplined hitters that will hit your strikes unless you can keep them off balance with some sort of a + secondary pitch. Tonight Erod does not have that terrific change he had a couple of starts ago and without a really good secondary pitch, Erod struggles. We get on him a good deal about being Mr Nibbles. But when he does not have a really good secondary pitch going for him on a given night, he is almost better off as Mr Nibbles against a team like the Braves.

Nothing like Devers and Benentendi's strike zones to help Teheran. Somewhat of a team wide slump moving in. Pedroia will need to jump start them but that may be asking too much while he gets up to game speed. Team looks unfocused the last night and today. Lots of games with no breaks in the schedule

Sit? LOL no. If he was in AA, he’d be the youngest guy on the team. You can’t sit someone everytime they make a mistake. If you did, you wouldn’t be able to field a team.

Aside from just tonight's gaffe at 1st base , Devers has the athleticism of a sea lion on the beach. His lack of baseball instinct and discipline is probably typical for a 21 year old. Although he can slash it around, maybe another few months in Pawtucket could help get him focused. Lots of raw talent, not much experience and it shows at this level..
