Just ridiculous. JBJ can't see the ball. He losses it way out in front of the plate and is just swinging at air.

I am not sure Hess has much of a way to get to LH hitters. JBJ might actually be able to hit this guy.

I beg to differ. Hess has a fastball, which works magic against JBJ. Any fastball, any speed, any location. Did you not watch the last two games?

For God's sake just bench him. He cannot hit a belt-high fastball when he knows it's coming. This is embarrassing to the team and to him as well.

Hess is probably the best shot JBJ has had at getting a hit in days. He might not get one. But Hess does not have much ammo against LH hitters.

Awfully easy 1st for Hess. That's OK, though. When he has to face Holt, Vazquez, and JBJ--one after another--he will rue the day he every tried to pitch at Fenway.

Just like I predicted. Great sand wedge by Holt followed by really hard grounder by Vazquez the Orioles were lucky to field, and some very nice cuts by JBJ. I tell, that magic stroke is back!

Bench him my butt....send him to Pawtucket-or Lowell

I don't know if this is true, but I'm guessing JBJ leads the league in fewest broken bats.

My meat is completely marinated. My meat is completely prepped. Meat meant for pleasure is the meat that I like best.

But, it's absolutely pouring out there. Grill time has been delayed.

It's almost impossible to comprehend.

Maybe he needs glasses.

Jones is such a pain in the neck. He will hit a HR on you on occasion but more often than not he does more with pitchers pitches than most hitters in this league now.

Changeup worked like a charm. The Orioles announcers were just boasting that Machado is by far the best hitter in MLB with RISP. That single by Jones was off a changeup about a foot outside the strike zone that Jones did a great job on.

He needs to stop tilting his head into the swing. At least one of his eyes losses the ball completely, maybe both. Pick a spot on the wall using both eyes and focus on it. Now cover one eye and tell me if your focus has not moved off that spot. That would be a stationary target which a pitched baseball is not.

I kind of love how psycho Vaz is thowing the ball around trying to pick off runners.

Leon did exactly the same thing yesterday--threw to 2B.

I can't say I really like anything about Vazquez this season, he's been pretty horrible.

They both can throw. I'm a bit glad we don't have a catchers that people feel like they are safe on the path. I know it's a small thing. But catchers that runners feel like you can do whatever and not be caught are super frustrating.

Kind of his hallmark. It's fun to watch as occasionally he snags someone napping.

But occasionally one of his throws gets away and costs the team.

I have railed against ERod, but there is zero doubt in my mind he is a better starter than Pom, who simply does not have enough variety in the pitches he throws, which is exacerbated by the slow fastball. ERod has heat, a good changeup, a good slider, and a decent cut fastball. His issue is command.

I have also railed against Porcello, but at least see he mixes up five pitchers pretty evenly--4 seamer, 2 seamer, changeup, slider, and curve. When he has command, he's pretty good.

That play right there is why I get torqued anytime someone complains about Mookie's base running. He hit that ball to deep center and was full prepared to take 3b if it wasn't smoothly fielded--and then hustled back to 2b when it was. He gambles sometimes because he's so darn good, but he is not foolhardy.

He needs to stop getting at-bats at the major league level.

It's fun to watch is about all I can say. In general I'm not a big fan. A bad outcome with a ball ending way in the outfield outweights the risk of him throwing I think in most cases. But, lke you said, it's fun to watch.
