I know Nunez is not a great fielder. That ball ate him up. But he did what an infielder should do by keeping the ball in front of him.

Nice play. Sort of.

Change up the signals, and different game for Sale. Sox did the same thing in NY. Makes me wonder how prevalent sign stealing is.

Makes me wonder why they don't do it every single game.

I swear to God...what is up with this team. We stumble and bumble though 7 innings and now we are tied up with this team. How we can sleep walk through games is just amazing.

I do have to say, Adrenaline level was at MAXIMUM the last three games. Having a hard time getting into this one.

Going from an anticipated series against the Yankees to playing the Jays who we should easily beat. It’s tough to have full excitement for this. Not to mention we aren’t playing our best game. Sale is playing well. But we’re just kind of sleep walking though this one.

Well they can make that excuse if they won the Yankee series. But they didn't. So they needed to find it from somewhere. Too many of them going to the David Price school of professional attitude. "Sigh......its OK.....Sigh"

Ahem. I'm disappointed to but they finished last night after 11 and then flew to Toronto and probably lost some sleep. Plus I suspect there is a bit of a letdown. But I do not see "stumble and bumble."

Helps when the crowd is going crazy. Toronto is always sleepy.

Hanley did enough stumbling and bumbling for the rest of them who are sleepwalking but for Sale. Last I looked they didn't change time zones on a charter flight.

He absolutely did not stumble and bumble. He malingered. He slowed down to watch a fly with two outs. Inexcusable and very unprofessional. Everybody else has hustled and is trying hard.

Look at the video. He tripped over his own two feet between third and home looking over his shoulder obliviously. That as much as anything cost him the play at the plate.

I did see that. But what killed him was the long pause between 1b and 2b. He rounded 2b about the same time the hitter was rounding 1b.

And had he not tripped over his own two feet he actually would have made it home safely.

What are you arguing that he malingered AND tripped over his own two feet. Thats encouraging! I feel much better about the play now. I believe you but that is not much of an argument to be making.

Is the Toronto park huge compared to other parks? It looks so cavernous. Are the dimension from home to left, center right larger than most parks?

Hanley being Hanley on that play........ I wouldn't expect anything else.

I do have to say he gives max effort when he realizes he needs to. Which is why I like him.

Too bad about the 3 runs, but Sale overall pitched well and with some heart--8 innings despite throwing 39 pitches in the first 2 innings.

The bullpen is probably in next, and that's frankly scary.

The lineup needs to do something. Starting with Moreland who is hitless.

A little deeper than normal at the foul poles but nowhere else. If anything not as deep to CF and maybe not so much in the power allies either.

Moreland has a hit and walk.

So far the Jays bullpen is way, way better than ours. Four straight arms just mowing us down. We have two earned runs and one from a real fiasco.
