Baseball needs more players like Bill Lee. He was "colorful".

One of my favorite memories of Lee was when I was at a game he was pitching and I was sitting a couple of rows back of the Sox dugout.

Lee gave up a HR in one inning and when he came back to the dugout he threw his glove and said, "Every time I throw that f***ing pitch some ********** hits out out of here!" LOL

One of my dudes ran into him earlier this season. Spaceman gave my buddy a bat. He asked him for a unique autograph on it. It says “f*** Nettles”. He said spaceman was laughing his ass off as he was writing it.

You guys are seriously not giving Pom enough credit here. What he did tonight requires a a top hat a wand and a curtain to put over the box. Another words, that was a veritable Houdini act. Nobody but nobody should be able to go out there knowing that his FB is so useless that he can only show it and get away with it for that long against a good lineup. A knuckleball pitcher should be the only guy that can get away with that.

It's not like it's the first time. His FB has diminished. He's gonna have to depend on good location and guile.

....really good game ....Pom was gutsy after we dogged him early ....scratched and clawed back .

I really don't know what the plan is for Pom. He is still clearly not right. He is just gutting it out and I mean really gutting it out. But his FB is actually worse now than it was a couple weeks ago.

I didn't see magic. I did see a guy moving his pitches around and throwing a lot of those knuckle curves that are hard to hit. Also a decent cut fastball. Never saw a change. He only gave up 4 hits in 6 innings. Granted, two dingers, but one was into that short porch in RF.

Against the number one offense in MLB that recently has been hot as blazes.

I'm not losing my s***, I don't care what people do, I literally stick things up my butt from time to time, during wins and losses. people can react to whatever, however they want, as long as it isn't racist and doesn't involve comments about sexualy abusing children, those are the lines.

Hahaha. Classic SC

He’s really still in Spring Training. Couple more starts we should know.

When a pitcher can only show his Four seam FB because it has been so degraded, it is magic to get by against this sort of lineup in this sort of baseball park. Just an unbelievable effort on his part. The problem is that his FB is worse now than it was a couple weeks ago, not better. So there is still some issue with him that appears to be going the wrong way at the moment.

Hitting is timing, pitching is upsetting timing - Warren Spahn

I know we want to dis on the Sox offense tonight but c'mon guys. Maybe it's not our offense. Maybe it's Severino.

Good hustle Nuny. And Severino done. He has been very good, nasty stuff, slider, change. 100 mph a few times.

Holy sophmore slump

It's the batting coach, & his confidence.

He HEATS UP as the season goes on.

Coach needs to TELL HIM to start leveraging that lead in the count, and SWING AWAY on strikes! Stop f***ing around, & swing once you're ahead in the count!

Exactly. That's what I saw too.

I'll be honest--Hembree would not have been my choice for the 8th. He has good stuff, but he doesn't use it well.
