Great to see Beni come to life. He needs to be consistent.

HRam keeps getting big RBIs.

Kimbrel is buttah.

ERod fell apart,

Keep winning!

Great win. Still 1 game up on the Yankees. This is almost like September in May. But the rotation must improve. Great bullpen, however.

This was Hanley's 5th rbi in 18 games. The great move was starting Moreland and benching JBJ. I agreed with sending Hembree back out for the 8th, but it was almost a disaster. Still, Cora left him in there to get the K. Then an IBB, then in comes Kelly for two K's.

That'll do Hanley. But please don't hit him 3rd in the lineup, Cora.

It was a great idea earlier in the season. Hanley was pushing toward a .900 OPS. Lately, he has regressed however.

Moreland's got his OPS over 1.000 now!

I'm not supersticious, but I'm afraid to stop bashing him out of fear he may slump.

He had been for a good while now.

Mookie is so f***ing good, at literally everything on the field.

I am not taking anything away from Mookie because he is one of the best base runners in the game.

But here is a case where Mookie's aggressiveness paid off, so that was an awesome base running play. What if he would have been thrown out? I have no doubt that posters here (not you) would be screaming about what a stupid base running play that was.

The point being, too often plays are judged as either good or bad based on whether they worked or didn't work, which should not be the case.

True. I tend to underwrite most baserunning "mistakes" that are not blatant obtuseness like last year when JBJ couldn't remember how many outs there were.

Never pass up an opportunity to make your whipping boy look bad, huh?.

IIRC Hanley was the one who thought he was 19 again and could stretch singles into doubles.

Part of the fun of sports message boards is “I told you so” bragging rights. Sarcasm is part of that. I don’t mind their attempts to pat themselves on the back. What bothers me is the thin skin when they are on the receiving end of sarcasm. It is a 2 way street. They shouldn’t be whiny babies when they are the object of sarcasm. Edited by a700hitter
