I like that they are more aggressive at the plate this year. But in this game they are often caught swinging at garbage early in counts. That is not what being aggressive at the plate means.

We've made plays i guess but why does it look like our defense isn't really that good.

The defense is fine when we have the Beni/JBJ/Betts OF. It will be very solid when Pedroia is back because Nunez is horrible in the field. If he isn't hitting he's a negative.

Because we know that other than the outfield with the Bees in it our defense is weak.

 

So far it does not seem to have been a determining factor in game outcome.
