Bogaerts two straight fastballs in close to the same spot. He lets the first go for a strike, then hits a weak grounder to 2b on the second. Both balls up in the zone about in the middle and midway between the center point and the outside edge of the plate.

This guy ain't that great, our guys are just terrible tonight.

No doubt this team needs a f..... impact bat. DH 30 - 40 hrs nope. 3B 25 - 30 hrs nope. Hanley is a dog. Pablo well good luck to you. And by the way, Pede takes a few nights off at he plate too. Bogie 5 hrs.. WTF.

Porcello is a bum. He can't even throw a Quality Start. He has given up 17 HRs already this season.

Not a good start, agreed, but the hitting tonight is worse. Are you watching how our guys just rollover when they come to the plate? With men on 1st and 2d and no one out, Pedroia pops to the infield and Bogaerts and Moreland strike out.

Like I said earlier, the Sox are 39-10 this year whenever they score 4 runs. Tonight the hitting is just abysmal at least over the first 5 innings.

Porcello was garbage once again. The team is having trouble scoring runs. He can't be pitching to a 5.50 ERA. We aren't going to win too many games of his with that.

If the score stays as is, this is the 8th time they don't score any runs when Porcello starts. So his sucking won't matter.

Porcello:

2015 9 wins 15 Losses 4.92 ERA

2016 22 wins 4 Losses 3.15 ERA

2017 4 wins 9 Losses 5.00 ERA soon to be 10 losses

Well, he has only 2 good seasons in his career. As I said 2 years ago, he is nothing but a No 4-5 arm.

I got run over like that covering first one time and I did a full backward tumble. It is little embarrassing, but I held onto the ball making it less embarrassing.

Maybe he is tripping balls all the time.

That can't be safe........ tripping balls while people try to throw 100 mph pitches by you....

I smoked weed and went into a batting cage once....That was funny as hell.

Doesn't matter if its the offense when BDR starts or his pitching performance. We can assume for the remainder of the year that his starts will result in a loss. Similarly we can assume that Sales starts will be a win. The anomalies of the two will average out. This means how price, Pom and e rod perform will dictate how this team will finish the remainder of the season. At this point of the year we know we have a very inconsistent offense that is middle of the pack as far as run production is concerned.
