I find it hard to complain when we have the third best win percentage in the AL.

If they were 54-2 some people would complain about the 2.

And station is 100% correct, this club has issues.

I was wondering about this situation the other day on a foul ball that almost caromed off a fans hand into the players glove. In this case, I would call it an out because I would make the judgement that the fan had interfered with Mookie.

never settle. There are issues with this club.

Well, according to the win percentage, every other team other than Houston has issues also.

Tomorrows outing by Price will be huge...

We used to hit CC better when he had good stuff. He is throwing puss balls to the plate and our hitters look like dopes.

We had Manny, ORtiz, Youkilis, Pedroia, Lowell, etc

We have Marrero, and some other craps right now.

Sabathia is also benefiting from a generous strike zone. He's seemingly gotten every borderline pitch. Would be interesting to know if Porcello would be as well but he hasn't thrown a lot of those tonight.

Porcello has big issues this season. We can't make a sustained run if he continues to pitch like dogshit.

Against righty batters Sabathia is hitting the outside corner with sliders, and that, ladies and gents, is simply great pitching. His lost a few mph on his fastball, but it's still 91mph. But time has improved his control and ability to use a variety of pitches and put them in tough places in the strike zone.

The guy is garbage. We are making him look masterful like we made Tanaka look in the shutout.

Amazing what location and changing speeds can do, isn't it. CC has learned how to pitch.

If you think CC is in the midst of a resurgence where he has discovered how to locate his pitches, you are kidding yourselves. This is largely a function of a lineup that isn't doing the job tonight.

He's done well the last 4 games. Now 5 if he keeps it up this game..

I hope that the Yankees have to rely on him as their ace. Michael Kay just ticked off the names in our lineup and noted that it doesn't look like a Red Sox lineup.

Michael Kay is so perceptive. All by himself he figured out Ortiz wasn't in the lineup. What an idiot.

None so blind as those who will not see. Sabathia is headed toward a shut out because he's pitching great--mixing up his pitches and hitting his spots. Oh, and he maybe prayed that Benintendi, the most feared hitter in MLB right now, wouldn't get into the lineup. Sabathia knows he would have been helpless against Beni because he owns lefty pitchers, even those he never batted against. Edited by Maxbialystock

It doesn't look like a Sox lineup for sure.

We do need Price and Porcello to do well this year....

The next time Young, Rutledge, Marrero, Travis, Leon are in the lineup together Farrell needs to pay a vagrant off the streets to start the game.

We also needs this team to not get shut down on most nights.

Are you serious? Those five guys, awful as you think they are, have 4 of our 5 hits tonight. On top of that Pedroia is on the DL, Marrero is way better than Pablo on defense and Pablo doesn't hit lefties well. Travis hits lefties way better than Moreland.

Vazquez would no doubt have hit better than Leon, but my guess is Leon got the nod because he's a better defensive catcher.

So my question back to you is, what the hell are Betts, HanRam, and JBJ doing out there? No hits among them plus JBJ looked awful running into Betts who was the right guy to make the play on the single to right center.

Well, not most nights, but certainly too many nights. I think that's the direct result of no Ortiz, whose presence in the lineup appears to have made other hitters better.

Tanaka is having an awful season, but back in April he threw a shutout against the Sox--9 innings worth.

We are making him look like a dominant pitcher, which he is not. We made Severino and Tanaka look that way the last time, and Yankee fans were gaga about their mastery. I told them to be ready that they would be getting lit up in their next starts. There were some excuses after the next start and after several more starts they are wondering if Tanaka needs surgery. I am waiting for the excuses after CC's next start. Let's not forget that the Yankee middle relievers owned us yesterday after Tanaka exited. Are they masterful too?

A balanced game. Sox weren't hitting and Porcello wasn't pitching, so we did not waste a great pitching performance nor a good night at bat. 8-0 says it all.

But of course we will have those who say, "wrong. Farrell lost this one with that terrible lineup.

I am hoping that tomorrow we are not discussing how Pineda has found himself and tales of his abilities, but I fear that we will not be putting up crooked numbers once again. At least Moreland and Benintendi will be back in the lineup and they have been hitting.

At least it wasn't a heart-breaking loss. And it did let Kimbrel rest.

Porcello allowed his 9th unearned run of the season tonight. I was curious, so I checked on something:

The Red Sox have been charged with 43 errors this season (including tonight and Bradley could have been charged with one on the triple). 17 of them have come in games pitched by Porcello. Now, I don't know if he's been on the mound for all of them, but that is absolutely ridiculous. He's not pitching well, but between the lack of offense and lack of defense in games he's pitched, no wonder they have a lousy record in his starts.
