Drew Pomeranz (1-0, 1.50 ERA) vs Alex Cobb (1-1, 3.46 ERA)

Sorry for basic game thread. Don't have a computer at moment and making these on phone is a pain in the ass, but I can't break the mojo/tradition.

Win this s***!

Happy Easter.

It will be if Mookie goes 5 for 5 and we win 12-2!

They have been bad, and while I think last yr was an aberration from Porcello, I also think the prior year was a aberration too. He's a reliable 4ERA guy. Your offense needs to find its way without Ortiz

Tough to find your way when you're in a 5, 6 run deficit after a couple of innings.

Relax. It's still early jacko! This team has the best rotation in the a.l on paper but they haven't pitched like it.

Pomeranz is a complete wuss. I thought he was going to break into tears in the first inning when he couldn't get the strikes he wanted.

And Bogaerts needs to get smart. He swung on ball three that was well inside with an umpire who has been more than happy to call balls. His stupidity cost a really good rally.

It's funny watching these comments. Can't have a bad inning without people calling players a no good bum. Edited by NativeBostonian

Nice clean inning for Pomeranz and it only took 17 pitches. Perfect for him because he's at 52 pitches after 2 innings and is a good bet to get to 100 pitches in 5 innings and won't have to go to the much dreaded 6th inning.

I thought he was a wuss before the game and will be delighted when and if he shows some heart.

As for Bogaerts, I like him a lot, but that was still a dumb swing on a 2-0 count.

What makes him a "wuss"? Also, I don't think someone who didn't have heart would have slammed his glove down in the dugout after that disaster of an inning.

My gramps calls them bums all game, but still roots like hell for all of them. Don't have a problem with it.

Bennintendi needs more experience in the outfield.

He looked bad on that ball near the wall in the 1st.

Bradley would have had that one.

Alas, he is a young rookie.

Compare him to Damon, Ells and Crisp first.

Pom had clean 2nd and 3rd innings. Maybe he's ok?

Way better than I expected. Always good to see a pitcher bounce back with six straight outs.
