The fact that the ump would try, for some odd reason, to enforce that rule when it's never been enforced before (to my knowledge) is ridiculous.

Beltre's response was hilarious.

This. And is moving the on deck circle something to eject someone for? Of course, you've just shown up the umpire, so....

I can't imagine that there's even a rule about moving the on deck circle. Has anyone ever done that before?

However, showing up the ump? That'll get you tossed almost every time. The game is all about them, after all.

Damn the Dodgers look good. 45 games over .500. 9-1 last 10 games, all this without Kershaw.

Their winning pct. is .706. The 2001 Mariners hold the record for a 162 game schedule of 116-46, which was .716.

(The 2001 Mariners lost in 5 games in the ALCS.)

Happens, but here's the thing, the Dodgers will be there for at least 2-3 years. They have kids in the Farm, that are waiting for a chance to play. They are loaded in the Farm, and this with even the Darvish Trade.

Urias has a possible career ending injury, and they got kids ready to step in. A-Gonz is an after thought.

Mariners were a 1 year wonder.

$300 million payroll helps a lot too.

Any news on Harpers knee in jury?

I don't wish injury on any player.

I don't like that punk but he is good for baseball.

It looks it's just a bone bruise, 10 days DL for him; if this is true the Nats dodge a bullet with his injury it looked far more serious than this

Dodgers 50 games over .500. Pretty impressive too. And they are playing better baseball without Kershaw, and A-Gonz starts his rehab this week or next, and he might not even crack the starting line-up, that's even more impressive.

Edit: A-Gonz started his rehab, should be back with the Dodgers next week.

Stanton might not be seeing a lot of good pitches to hit going forward. He might get the Barry Bonds treatment.

That would suck.

So my dad has a goal of wanting to visit every ball park and that's awesome, so when I have a chance to go to a different park, I always do. I was able to go to Wrigley Field last night to see the Reds/Cubs game, and it was a great experience. The atmosphere at and around the stadium is fantastic. Would definitely enjoy attending a game there again sometime soon.

That sounds awesome. I want to do that too, and was thinking of taking one massive road trip right after college to do it. Wrigley is obviously right up there on the list. I fell in love with "Go Cubs Go" last October, and still find myself singing it sometimes.

Hahaha, Pollyanna.

It's really sad that the only real NL Playoff race is the NL Central. Unless the Cubs blow it, the playoff teams are set before we even reach September. On the bright side, at least AJ Pollock will be getting his first taste of October baseball. Can't wait to watch him (and the Sox, hopefully)
