Walk is unacceptable. The wild pitch is on Vazquez.

Get your s*** together.

he walks a high wire sometimes....... and it bit him the last couple outings......

Vasquez saved his ass from that bounced 95 spinner that hit the dirt.........

get your s*** together...

Anybody remember Dick Radatz, and that meltdown after about two years. We went to Sox games hopiong to see Radatz come and make fools of th ehitters. Then, all of sudden, he coildn't find homeplate and washed up. Just that fast. And Kimbrel is NOT Radatz to begine with!

and how do you know the passed ball was on Vasquez? It looks like a mixed up signal?

Here we go again. Already with the excuses for Kimbrel. Again. It's not a save situation. It's not an important game. Vazquez is the real problem.

Simple fact is that Kimbrel's control is tenuous, or at least it has been in September and October. He walked a guy, then a sac bunt, then a wild pitch. By the next batter, the one who had the rbi, he was throwing nothing but fastballs even though he has shown that his fast ball by itself is hittable. He's lucky the sac fly wasn't a double off the wall.

I think Ziegler, Uehara, and Kelly would all be better closers, but Kimbrel will almost certainly keep the job because he is incapable of doing anything else besides close. Plus, when his curve is working, he can mow hitters down.

But let's not kid ourselves. Right now our closer is suspect. Someone else pointed out that smart opposing hitters should take pitches, and that's exactly what the Jays leadoff batter did in the 9th--assume Kimbrel couldn't throw strikes. And he couldn't.

This is ridiculous. Once again Kimbrel can't find the plate. The difference is that this time it costs us the game. How can ANYONE defend this guy now??

Again I'll say again what I've been saying for days

#Koji 4 Kloser. Koji can't do any worse.

This is nothing new. He hasn't been able to find the plate for a week. The only difference is that this time it bit him on the ass.

Forget the wild pitch. Happens a lot when they've changed the signals and one of the guys forgets. This is all on Kimbrel, and I would not let him anywhere near the mound when the Cleveland series gets underway. When a 98 mph pitcher get this bad, walks the house, etc, he's probably done. I'll be surprised if he isn't totally washed up. On the other hand, Kelly has looked great since coming back. Just remember how fast Dick Radatz went from one of the best ever, to a bum. For about 2 years he was unhttable, and then right out of the blue, he couldn't find home plate. This is a case of dey je vue

Farrell says he still has complete confidence in Kimbrel. That should send Kimbrel a message. THE WRONG MESSAGE.

Holy Fudge........ .he's probably done for the season, he should be benched........ he should be sent a warning????

Oh man........

I think he may be hitting a rough patch is about it........ but this is the wrong time for him to do so and brings up questions about who is more effective right now....

It's going to be interesting to see how Manager of the Year handles this. I think you proceed as you have during the season, but with caution....

He should have been pulled after the first walk, if only to send him a message.

I agree with you on Koji as our closer, but if JF wants Kimbrel as the closer, he had to say what he said.

I don't like the closer roll.......... if the eight is blown........... then who cares who is the closer.....

I'd rather see the better pitchers come in early and lock s*** down....... then figure out who we would want to expend later on do to the situation......

Kimbrel has looked shaky just recently....... I still wouldn't stray from the path that has gotten us here.....

I agree with letting Kimbrel pitch the 9th, even though a tie game but at home. I have no problem with it. On the road no go. Just look at the stats when he comes in when the game is tied. He is starting to be a concern. I don't care if he strikes out the side on Sunday. I don't know if it's mechanical or something. But it needs to be fixed. I don't expect him to be perfect but I'm not looking for that. I do think he will be fine..... Proceed with caution....
