Bring Price out for the 8th?????

I say no.

Me too. It is about 95 degrees and he was looking a little gassed in the 7th.

Ortiz's bat is heating up.

110+ pitches in 100 degree temperature in a 9-3 game ? 2 outs in the 8th. Why keep him in.?

That's what i wanna know. We need this guy even if he has pitched bad at times. Gonna need him against our division rivals.

So tonight has been an adventure for me.

Early in the evening we had some very violent thunder showers with some nearby lightning. I was watching TV when BOOM! A lightning bolt came down near my dwelling and fried my $3500. Bose surround sound system. To ad to my frustration the "house cable " ( part of DISH Network ) has been out for about two weeks. I ended up watching the game on line on some gaf site with malware.

I had to watch my Sox though!!!!!

My Son works for Bose so the system will be repaired or replaced ( they own it ).

I don't know how people watch pre-season. I was watching part of the Steelers game tonight and holy s*** it was horrible football being played, turned it off after 5 minutes lol.

Did anyone here go to the game tonight, or know someone who did? I saw on MLB.com that Shatner threw out the first pitch and there was a giveaway of special Captain Kirk figurines. I'd love to get one from someone who might not want theirs...

I wasn't there, but I saw that Shatner bounced the first pitch, went to the catcher got the ball and went back for another try. On the second try, he threw a strike.

Farrell just can't win. No matter what he decides, his move is going to be questioned, even when the move worked out, which means it must have been the right move.

I'm guessing Price told Farrell that he was good to go another inning. He has always been a horse as far as pitch count goes. I'm also guessing that Farrell was giving Price his vote of confidence by leaving him in and letting him finish the inning. The human element thing. The lead was big enough to do so.

We'll never know for sure, but maybe Farrell's vote of confidence helps Price turn the corner.
