Well, that certainly was a disappointing series with the EE. The only good thing to come out of it is that the Sox will probably never see ARod again. In an effort to inject something positive into the situation, I ask you, "What's your favorite moment in Red Sox/ARod history", the day ARod removed all doubt as to just how big a douche he is?

Was it

1) The famous and well documented day 'Tek not only provided a 'leather sandwich' to ARod, but forced him to eat it?

2) The equally as famous and almost as well documented day ARod slapped the ball out of Bronson Arroyo's glove?

3) The day ARod returned to Fenway after his suspension and Ryan Dempster throws his first pitch behind ARod and misses him two more times before finally hitting him with a 3-0 pitch. Dempster doesn't get ejected but Giriradi does.

4) Something else..... (please fill in the blank)

Not to crap on your thread, Dewey, but there are only a few, they're obvious, and you listed them.

I actually thought the beaning by Dempster was a really dumb play. It happened early in the game, Dempster pitched like crap and the Yanks came back and won the game.

I agree that there are only a few that I could remember, but if there's another that someone particularly 'liked' I didn't want to rule it out.

My favorite was the one involving Dempster. I agree that it was dumb, but at the same time I liked the fact that Dempster was willing to make the statement regardless of the risk. Sometimes ya just gotta do what ya gotta do!

But my very favorite part is that the umpire backed Dempster by refusing to throw him out of the game. And then just to add insult to injury, he kicked out Giriardi when Giriardi was obviously right!

When the union didn't allow ARod to give up money to go to the Red Sox. Great job union!

True enough. That undoubtedly changed the history of baseball.

I've long said that the MLPBA has too much power but in that situation their power saved the Sox bacon!

Here's the classic quote from George Steinbrenner when the Yankees got A-Rod:

"We understand John Henry must be embarrassed, frustrated, and disappointed by his failure in this transaction. Unlike the Yankees, he chose not to go the extra distance for his fans in Boston."
