It's time to put the 'Summer Vacation' mojo to work. This is some pretty powerful stuff and it will not be beaten.

Go Sox!

Mariners @ Red Sox

4pm @ Fenway

Sampson (Big League debut)

24 year old right hander expected to be added to the roster today to replace the injured Wade Miley. Acquired from the Pirates last July for JA Happ, was 7-4/ 3.25 in 13 starts for Tacoma.

Porcello 7-2/ 3.81

Gave up 4 runs (1 earned) over 7 innings in a loss to the Twins in his last start. He is perfect at Fenway this season going 5-0/ 3.03.

Need this win pretty bad. Jays are absolutely on fire and we are cooling off in the worst way. Somehow need to find our MOJO again

The Sox are circulating the toilet.

This season can be gone in the blink of an eye.

They need to rip off a string of wins.

GO SOX!!1!!!

Hard to rip off a string of wins with only two reliable pitchers.

This! However lately the offense has been sinking as well. The team just looks totally different the last few games.... certainly off to another crap start again.

He had a good start. But, he's starting to turn back into a pumpkin.

Not really, he has consistently pitch 6+ inning. He's far from a problem.

Agreed. Id gladly take two more Rick Porcello's on the roster in place of Buchholz/Kelly/E-Rod/Elias/Owens/O'Sullivan

Chris Young and Vazquez with a perfectly executed hit and run. 1st and 3rd no one out and Mookie coming up. C'mon Mookie, lets have a big inning.

JBJ is heating up again. Can Shaw and Hanley do that?

Shaw and Hanley seem to be breaking out of it, while Pedroia seems to be in a bit of a funk.

Good job by Porcello today.

He got himself into jams, but he was able to work his way out of them. The 3rd inning when he had runners on 2nd and 3rd with no outs but escaped without giving up any runs was huge. He settled in very nicely after that.
