I'm tired of watching the same problems with this team year after year. Hey, jackasses in the front office. It's the f***ing pitching! Fix this s***.

I just don't get it. It's the insanity, having the same off-season year after year, but expecting the pitching to get better despite it not working in the past. The last 3-4 years each offseason there's heavy criticism for not doing enough to the pitching staff (and often we get labelled as unrealistic, complainers, etc, they team will be fine, etc etc etc). How many here said price and Kimbrel weren't enough? Time to make a move or two. I could care less about making the playoffs if the team has little chance of beating playoff teams. Get an ace. The offense deserves better.

The Red Sox remain in good shape in their bid for a postseason berth:

A playoff berth means nothing if you can't beat a playoff contender. Of course, you also can't expect this offense to score 8+ runs a game. If the pitching staff doesn't turn it around, the team is going to continue to struggle as the offense cools off.

Playoff births only happen if you conceive during football season.

You don't get "labeled" a complainer. You are a complainer. You've admitted yourself that you mostly only come to this website to whine.

This team needs pitching reinforcements, but goddamn let's wait until they're actually in trouble record-wise before turning the website into an unreadable litany of whining.

Sorry, I think that was me who started the litany of whining. He just continued my sentiments. But, you are right. They are in first and probably only need reinforcements, not a complete overhaul. David Price isn't as bad as people have been saying he is and Wright has been very ace like. I don't think E-Rod will continue to pitch this bad: he just needs to not throw 90% fastballs to a team that smashes fastballs.

Also to note from E-Rod's start: The Blue Jays really stacked the deck with right-handed hitters, and it's an extremely difficult to navigate lineup (Bautista, Encarnacion, Donaldson, Martin) for lefties either way. That said, no K's and slightly lowered velocity are things to be concerned about.

So, we're heading out to SF now. With the two off days coming up, Farrell's readjusted the rotation, allowing Porcello to go Tuesday against Suarez (a good matchup), and Price to go Wednesday against Bumgarner (a fun matchup).
