Meh.

 

I still love my team. I have no illusions of the Sox becoming consistant winners this season. They, at best, are a .500 team. I can accept that because I can not do anything to change them.

 

Richards will be tough. Maybe Porcello pitches a little better tonight if Hannigan catches him again?

 

I hope the Sox bats show more tonight. 5 hits will not cut it unless they are homers.

Same - for life fan here. I hope they make the trades to set us up for next year. One trade + one free agent signing = 2 top of the rotation (potentially) pitchers.

I think I am starting to hate Porcello as much as I hated Eric Gagne.

 

I was at Fenway in 2007 when Gagne blew game against the Angels. It was the nightcap of a day night doubleheader. Gagne was so awful that the entire crowd was all over the guy. Some one from the third base side if the field just past the dugout threw a full water bottle and it landed right next to the mound. Gagne looked like he was in shock.

Not with his contract. They can get pitchers like him (e.g. Dillon Gee and Mike Leake) for next to nothing.

That's an awesome story. Must have been nuts to experience it in person. I wonder if Porcello will get that treatment soon.
