Mojo is just our superstition. It adds fun to the interaction here.

It's tradition. Therefore everyone should keep up with it and follow the rules.

This is my opinion only, of course.

What are the rules?

I've seen on other boards that if you start one and win a game, you must start the next game. Someone made that infraction this year and was dealt with accordingly.

What's the rules on new people? I started one earlier in the season, but then had thoughts that a rookie should be given permission or something. I've never heard of that before, but I don't know.

I haven't been a part of a message board in a long long time....

I need to build my mojo

Couldn't catch the game but seems like ERod had his first tough day this season.

This season is over, time to rebuild.

A season is never over on June 15.

Yep, if I believed it, I would have to go to every game and make every game thread, because "at the game" mojo is the most potent. It's all fun and games, except when we make it to the post season. In the playoffs, I will sit in the same spot and not take bathroom breaks if we are winning. jk ... not really.

Rationally, I know mojo has nothing to do with whether the team wins or loses. However, that is not going to stop me from continuing to do the exact same things when the team wins. It may not have any effect on the team, but it sure makes me feel better.

Speaking of said infraction, has anyone noticed that this team really went downhill shortly after the infraction was made?

Coincidence? I think not!

There are 98 games left in the season. There is a long way to go and there is time for 2015 to be salvaged. They need to make some bold moves, and they need to make them fast.

Like what? They blew their load on Porcello and Hanley and Panda. Ben's not gonna deal them away, even paying a ton of the freight. What other moves can they make, considering Hanley and Panda are two of the biggest problems?

Yeah, sounds like fun with everyone bitching about Fred not making the next day's thread, and all the back and forth now about who has the best mojo etc. It's baseball, the best team loses over a third of its games, THERE IS NO f***ING MOJO.

Nor do I. It is nice to know, however, that my mojo is responsible for 4 of our last 7 wins, in a stretch when we've gone 7-14.

That being said, if we get swept by two division rivals in a row, Farrell has to get fired. He wimped like a wuss on the no call at second base. Remy and the rest of us thought he was going to get himself tossed, but he put his tail between his legs and slinked back to the dugout.

The Padres fired their manager for 1 game under .500 (which makes me think something else is going on) but Farrell gets a free pass for ten games under? It's not all on him, and I believe the manager's influence on results is minimal, but there's only so many times he can say "it's not lack of effort, we didn't execute properly" and coming off as Polyannaish about the team.

Although mathematically you may be correct, do you honestly think the Phillies are making the playoffs this year?

No I don't, but I would not say their season is over yet either. Stranger things have happened.

The Sox are in a better position than the Phillies are for several reasons.

Your mojo has done well recently, much better than the rest of us.

My mojo tends to have the opposite effect. LOL

Mine was absolutely terrible for a while. That was part of the reason why I was banned all of last year. Yours will come around, you just need some seasoning.

it's not crazy if it works.

The Sox are 10 games under .500 and have won only 1/3 of their games against division rivals.

These numbers do not indicate that they will recover.

Spud, I know it doesn't look good. However, teams are never as bad as they look when they're losing. And things can change in a heartbeat. How bad did the Jays look before their current hot streak?
