Now, we have little room for mistakes.
They need to make their move and turn this around fast. If they are sitting 5 or more games below .500 and in fourth or last place on July 4, their playoff chances for the season will be over. All that will be left is to play out the schedule.

Every year some always disparage April and May while making jokes about the W-L record. While those months won't tell you the outcome of a season, the Ws and Ls are as important as any month. This is why we do not have to take those months lightly.

Eventually the losing turns into a situation where your boat has taken on too much water. That happens around midseason.

The pitching is not the problem these days but back in April and in some passages in May, it was. They bet in poor pitching while trying to fix it if it sucks. Some of us said that it could be late by the time. Thing is that you had other variables: the offense and fielding. They put all their bucks on them and it didn't work out either.

They have had serious problems at assembling teams in recent years. The problem is pretty evident. This FO and coaching staff are killing this franchise.

I still have little hopes, hopefully this turns around somehow.

Man, I'm glad someone told me that.

I figured we could still cruise along at a .450 win clip and make the playoffs.

There is still time to turn this around, but the time to act is now. The current roster is not good enough to turn things around. The FO needs to make some moves soon, instead of wasting their time making uneccessary moves regarding the last bench player.

The slow start is taxing us. This is why April is so important just like any other month.

April wasn't that bad. May was a catastrophe.

The Sox continue to bury themselves below .500 and in the cellar.

The Yankees are somewhat of a surprise and now are on a 7 game roll.

What happens when an AL East team catches fire and distances itself from the Sox? Maybe it will be the Yankess but it won't matter.

This season is rapidly becoming a total disaster.

spud, we lost Tanaka for a month plus and have been without Nova all year. We've been 2 weeks without Jacoby and he should be back late June. I said all preseason that if we stayed healthy, we were making the playoffs. We didn't stay healthy, but we're rapidly getting healthy and have a lead in the AL East right now. Should we get Jacoby and Ivan back and still have a lead, we're the favorites barring further injury or deals

They keep losing games like last night and it will be.

I'd rather lose a 6-4 game than look as totally inept as the offense looked last night.

I recognize that the Yankees have done well so far and I have no reason to doubt that they can take the division. Toronto is getting hot and who knows when the Os will gain traction?

I just see the Sox sinking further down especially if or when a division rival goes on a tear.

I hope Chaz Roe pitches on Thursday when Miley starts. We don't want to miss out on the Roe vs. Wade jokes

Haha! We need this matchup to take place.

The Yankees were on a 7 game roll. And right before that, they lost 10 of 11.

As the saying goes, a team is never as good as they look when they're winning, and they're never as bad as they look when they're losing.

The Sox are 5-3 in June, which is not bad at all. It's unfortunate that they have been unable to gain any ground.
