You're not crazy, because I agree with you, and I know I'm not crazy. ;) I won't go as far as predicting the Sox to win the WS, but I still predict that they'll win the division. The Yankees have gone on an .800 win streak, winning 12 of their last 15. We know that's not going to continue. In the meantime, the Sox have played .400 ball, winning only 6 of their last 15. We know that's not going to continue either. Our pitching will not be as bad as it was last week, and our offense will eventually click like it's supposed to.

It will be a tight division all season. The standings and first place will likely change numerous times. When it's all said and done, I think the Sox will end up on top.

The Yankees streak won't continue. Remember the first week of the season? We went into New York and dominate the 1st two games? Then the Yankees blow us out in the last game? That's when their run started, and we have the chance do something similar with a win tonight. They've come here and handled us pretty easily in the first 2 games.

How about Nelson Cruz who has 3 more HR and a much higher OPS?

The same thing I said before: It's the beginning of May, no one is the best at anything yet.

You are right UN. It's too early to crown a FA victor or a lead dog in a playoff race. I've heard that you don't panic until Memorial Day but with the 2 WC, you don't panic now til Aug 1

It's funny, the AL East was projected to be the weakest division in the AL this year, with neither of the wildcards coming out of this division. That may still be the case because it's way to early to get a good feel for things, but as of now, the East only has one team under .500, the Central has 2 under .500, and the only team in the West that is above .500 is the mighty Astros. Go figure.

Whatever the case, it's too early to panic. Memorial Day will also be too early to panic.

Don't forget to add our s***** starting pitching and the fact that our heralded hitting attack has misfired twice already to the Yankees in this series that we needed to win and will probably get swept at. We have a s***** team; I am now totally convinced of that and further that we are overrated hitting and we have more than or share of choke-ups. Taking a month off as I did in 2012 and 2014 and if I return and we are even worse than we are now....as we were both times in spades, the Red Sox front office, manager and team will be open season.

I didn't - that's what median means. The Red Sox are a .500 ish team who have gotten some pitching which is even worse than what I expected ... and by expected I mean what a reasonable person would expect from the starters. The offense has been good despite Betts and Ortiz not launching yet fully.
