I would rather have a really good starting rotation and a mediocre offense, than vice versa, with the way the game is played today. I think when they get their offensive players back, that are injured at the moment, they will produce enough to help out their fenomenal rotation. Yes, their bullpen is less than desirable. But, with the starters they have; they can go 7 or 8 innings. You wont need a bullpen that much with guys who can go that deep into games.

 

You're banking on a rotation's worth of guys coming back from surgery, including a TJ victim. Seems like a fool's errand to me.

Fred, this team won 7-1 yesterday, beat an ace today, and is scoring more runs per game than any team besides the Royals. I wouldn't worry about the offense.

 

I AM worried about the offense now. We never seem to hit in double figures lately, Ortiz isn't hitting worth s***, the fat Panda clogs the bases when he gets a single and shows no power whatsoever and is leaving a lot of men on base. Many of our runs have been unearned and Farrell seems determined to ride it out with Victorino who is looking more washed up with each plate appearance. Even Xander has cooled off badly. Pedroia tries to pull every damn pitch and Napoli still hasn't gotten untracked. Yes, I am concerned that the offense hasn't erupted yet and better do it soon.

fred, there should be absolutely no reason to complain about anything regarding the Sox right now. For the love of the Lord, stop whining and enjoy the good times.

If they won 8-7: THEY CAN'T KEEP WINNING WITH JUST THEIR BATS THEY WILL NEED TO BE ABLE TO WIN LOW SCORING GAMES WITH THEIR PITCHING TOO!!!!!!!

 

We're winning ugly with help from the other teams ineptness, and we are NOT hitting and our pitching is more cold than hot. Look at tonight and instead of panning Pedroia try throwing some s*** the Fat Panda's way. He hasn't been worth a turd offensively for us, doesn't drive in runs and leaves a ton of runners on the bases while still not getting ONE f***ing extra base hit so far.
