Pros of the 2014 Season:

-It's almost over

-Derek Jeter sucking more ******* than a low class hooker

Cons of the 2014 Season:

-I have a greater chance of actually marrying Taylor Swift than of adequately covering all of the horrible, disgusting, f***ed up piles of festering horseshit that have made up this back alley abortion of a season.

Beat the Rays. Or don't. Whatever.

Go Patriots.

Is Farrell just stubborn or is he in fact what many members of his former team said about him.....that he is out of his league and doesn't have a clue what the hell he is supposed to be doing. Tonight once again he stubbornly inserted the miserable and pathetic Jackie Bradley into a lineup that still cannot score more than two or three runs a game. The results were predictable. We scored two runs, lost and Bradley struck out two more times and is now hitting 198. Keep in mind that he hit under 200 in his short stay with the Red Sox last season, hit under the Mendoza line this past Spring Training and his now down in the sewer again. Are the Red Sox seriously considering running him our there in the starting lineup again next season? Just what does he have on Farrell and Cherington that this piece of turd talent is still playing almost every game. For God's sake, someone wake the bungling manager up, give Brentz a chance in these last few games and finally throw in the towel on Jackie once and for all. He should be the first change they make this winter----out of Boston, anywhere but out of Boston. He stinks.

If JBJ's futility at the plate doesn't convince this kid that he needs to change both his attitude and swing then I can't feel sorry for him when he is no longer in baseball.

Fred, the Red Sox are not trying to win these games. There is absolutely no reason to try to win these games. The tickets are already sold. The veterans are already veterans. The difference between 70 wins and 75 wins is the difference between the #5 pick in the draft versus the #12 pick in the draft. This team is going to play its rookies -- no matter how bad they are -- every single game. Maybe even moreso if they are bad.

Fred - I think, more than anything, they're trying to give JBJ every single opportunity possible to prove that he belongs because his defense is really that good.

In my honest opinion, from everything I've read, JBJ seems very stubborn in that he's not willing to change his swing to make the adjustments to big league pitching. He needs to shorten up, bad. His swing is very very long as is.

He'll probably be a piece that is moved this offseason.

As for the 2015 outfield, I'm not making any judgements on Rusney right now because he hasn't played in 1.5 years, so I am holding off on my judgement of him.

I think the lineup will have Cespedes in LF, Castillo in CF, Betts in RF. If the Sox trade Betts, I'll vomit unless it's for Chris Sale or Stephen Strasburg. Other than that, Betts looks like an absolute keeper, given his ability to hit and his versatility on the field.

Tough to judge Farrell in September given that he's got about 36 guys on his roster. This season is obviously in the toilet, so try to figure out exactly what you've got going into the offseason (though I can't imagine that 2-3 more games of JBJ is going to change any opinion at all whatsoever.)

The only positive thing that I can say about Ranaudo is that he is tall.

Yup. I can see why they were reluctant to bring him up. He doesn't have big league stuff at all right now.

I used to go to a lot of Celtics games back in the days that the Knicks were not only relevant but in fact very good. Everyone at the stinky old Garden would boo the Knicks as loud as possible during introductions.

But we all knew that Walt Frazier, Willis Reed, Earl Monroe, etc. were very good players and worthy of our respect.

Phil Jackson, not so much!

A great opponent will break a fan's heart by beating his beloved team. But that should never keep a true fan from respecting and admiring that player.

Unless he had purple lips, cheated repeatedly, and was a major d-bag, of course.
