Bring in Yaz, or Rice or Dewey or Freddie Lynn to work with the kid for 2 or 3 days. The kid needs help. His career is circling the drain, and I don't think I am exaggerating.

Some hitters take longer to adjust than others, and adjustment periods really suck, but he'll figure it out, and fortunately for him the Sox are in a position to let him work out his struggles all year. And if he doesn't work them out by the end of the year, then you go with Betts next year.

Of the prospects we've seen up this year, Vazquez is the one who has done what we've expected him to do. It would be great to see him stick around that .700 OPS mark.
