Money is no object. Yes, Arod is back. No, it wont stop us from spending. ARod is probably going to be cut

Money is always an object, and it doesn't matter if they cut Arod, his salary is still on the books.

I would pay to see this.

I would tower over him like a giant. He's a little man. I'd probably crush his skull. That being said, I wouldn't ever hit another man for a baseball decision. But I am pretty heated right now

Lester ERA is under 3, he has 7 losses. WTF is wrong with this team?

Well the good news is that we are still only 6.5 out of a wildcard spot.

Did Napoli call him an idiot while he was going into the dugout?

he yelled "what an idiot"

At least it isn't the f-bombs I see a lot of dugout do, especially the Rangers.

We need offense. not often we can win these coin flip games.

Indeed. If cherrington decides that he wants to make a push, we need to get another bat here quick. Even with another bat there is definitely no guarantee we can turn this season around.

We have the SP depth to go get a bat. Webster, Ranaudo, Johnson has pitch to 1.50-1.95ERA since May 1st.

Untouchable are Owens and De La Rosa.

Hey, I guess I had some good mojo. I was getting very frustrated during the game which is why I wasn't posting. Drew was completely helpless at bat and in the field. He practically lost the game on Lester all by himself.

Pedey looked focused and the laser show may be starting.

Bradley still sucks balls and needs to grab some bench. If Mookie isn't in tomorrow's lineup, I will drive to Yankee Stadium and kick Farrell in the balls.

I was nervous in the 8th after the leadoff walk to Gardner, but I had a feeling that Jeter would hit into a DP.

After the K to end the 8th, I left the room while the idiot Girardi was trying to steal a run on an inning ending strike out while the players were walking off the field. What a douche.

I grabbed a beer and cleaned up some of the mess that I had made during the day. When I returned to the TV, I saw Drew going down meekly again. I said to my son. That was quick was it a 1-2-3 inning? He was laughing. He told me that those idiots actually pitched to Napoli with 2 outs and the hapless (1 RBI) Drew on deck. That gave us a big laugh. That is a big pet peeve of mine when pitchers let themselves get hurt by the only guy in the lineup who can hurt them. LOL!! This was the perfect example. If I was jacko, I'd be steamed too. I noted to my son on the replay how Ortiz was laughing in the dugout. I said they can't believe that the Yankees pitched to napoli. The "idiot" remark by Napoli explains that situation. LOL!! What an idiot indeed!

As you're probably know, the Red Sox are a bat away from jumping back into this. Nobody is that good in the AL East. The Red Sox have the deepest starting pitching staff.

And I threw up a little with De La Rosa getting demoted today.

I noticed as I was perusing this game thread that I don't have to rip Drew anymore because, one, I promised I wouldn't, and, two, most of you are outdoing me in that regard. I missed some of the game since I had to go to Mass but got to see the real good stuff. Want to hear something very very strange my friend. I actually predicted that Drew was going to get one of Tanaka's low pitches and golf it out for a home run. Imagine that ????? Of course, I was taking a piss when the thought came to me, but still I was giving him some positive vibes. A lot of good it did me. But not only him.....Bradley needs to be benched too and tomorrow Mookie must be in CF. Tonight Pedroia got three hits, one not so great but three anyway.

Its amazing how well jon lester has pitched since the beginning of last july. Seems like forever ago when we were really getting on him after his bad 2012 campaign and his era being up in the 4.60 territory the first half of last year.

After tonight's performance in beating the Yankees wonder kid if Cherington has anything resembling a brain he is off his ass and on the phone getting negotiations started to get Jon signed to a great extension. What the f*** is he waiting for? The usually pitches very well against the Yankees. And why the hell was De La Rosa sent down? What kind of s*** politics is this? You mean we are going to have to endure Peavy some more? Farrell, you s***!!!!!

If they want to still try to make the playoffs, they have to toss peavy out of the rotation. Hopefully one more sub par start will do it. This team can't go on with him when they have better options.

I hate you Joe.

Some of us Jacko have said worse about Farrell this season. Now there's a guy who f***ed things up from Day One of ST. Imagine bringing Mookie up and sitting him so Bradley and Drew could screw up.....and Cherington sending down Rubby to keep Peavy? Whose f***ing idea was that?

I know JBJ is struggling at the plate, but he is the best defensive CF I've seen for the Red Sox in my lifetime.

Good---just put him for defensive purposes late in the game. He has no more business being in the lineup than Drew is.

Jackie Bradley is perfect on a team who already has a good lineup and is looking for a ninth hitting center fielder who can provide plus defense.

We can if we can sit Drew and Bradley down...permanently. Look, we know Pedroia, Ortiz and Napoli can hit; two of them did it tonight but we also know the other two cannot and will not. Why is that so hard to figure out?
