The sox are currently on pace for only 609 runs. Can you remember the last time a sox offense has been that s*****? I mean since the turn of the century you can usually pencil them in each year for 800 or more runs and no less than 750.

It really is a disgrace.

They brought a kid up from Memphis...highly touted. Good FB and change, not much else, except he's a very good hitter. Name of Gonzales. Set down the 1st 9 Rockies then they pummeled him for 4 ER in the 4th, using his "curveball"

I watched the Cubs beat him last month. They knocked him around . But I have not seen enough of him to figure out how they did it. DOH! Mc Cann!!!!

Pedroia just hasn't been able to sustain any good hitting streaks this year. Sure he can play excellent defense at second, but he has been a below average overall hitter this year. I thought after that two hit game in oakland he was going to start to take off but he just hasn't. Having an ops plus under 100 says it all about pedey this season. He has hit more like a 7th hitter rather than a lead off, two, or three man.

Breslow was a stud last yr. He has lost it. Peavy lost some velocity and just cannot adjust to it.

We are no sleeping bear. More like a dead dog.

Breslow was lucky last year. Unfortunately his time has come. He has no purpose all-year, no close games. Roster filler. and Peavy lost more than velocity, his control is what getting him in trouble. He is walking a lot of batters, and serving up HR.

I would really like to see it happen. The rivalry is a joke now. We are essentially guaranteed some sort of scuffle every series vs the rays but nothing vs the yanks.
