Lets go streaking!

If we can get some clutch hits and some of our guys hit better with men on base and if De La Rosa pitches a solid game we could. A lot of ifs though. And remember Bradley is back in the lineup tonight.

Thank you thank you thank you! I have the game on ESPN (it's usually blacked out when we play the O's). Don't have to watch/listen to the douchebag O's announcers!! YAY!!

WIN!

Now you're seeing what I saw on TV out here in LA when De La Rosa pitched for the Bums in 2010......Walking batters bad enough but getting absolutely scalded with booming extra base hits. Could be that game against the Rays was a mirage but between this inning and his lousy performance against the Tigers it looks like the same human pin ball machine has returned. Very bad news. And we haven't scored too many runs of late and we have Bradley in the lineup. Well we can always call up Andres Torres and he can save our bacon.

DLR has settled some. Two mistakes in the 1st. Lucky the play was overturned so it's not 5-0 in the 4th there.

Offense seriously needs to WAKE UP! Come on fellas!!!

While the results weren't there tonight for Rubby with the 4 er, the swing and miss "stuff" is front of the rotation potential. Hopefully the results will reflect the "stuff" his next start.

I don't know how many of you were watching the game on ESPN but if you were and were paying attention you could have picked up a world of solid pitching info from Rick Sutcliffe. As in the first game of the Atlanta series when he pretty much stripped Buchholz down and said pretty much what was wrong with the guy that apparently our coaching staff missed or ignored, tonight he was pretty much hinting that De La Rosa was not mixing his pitches well, was giving his pitches away, and was getting behind the batters and could be easily read. In short he was hinting something people in LA saw in 2010. He might simply not be too swift in the grey matter. The guy does have stuff, that is obvious but he has to learn to harness it better. Of course, where the hell has our offense gone? We've look pretty ragged with the bats in our hands of late. WTF gives?

I'd rather have him out there right now than Doubront or Buchholz, by far!

last 25 games

player 1 163/291/279 for an ops of .570

player 2 188/230/261 for an ops of .491

Hint: one is the Red sox cleanup hitter and other one is the #9 hitter

They are letting anotherseries slip away. Another couple of weeks of this and Ben will drive the truck to Fenway to cart away the trash and sell off a lot of other pieces.

and just for shits and giggles the the red sox number 3 hitter last 25 games 234/312/319 for a 631 ops.

for all the bashing that JBJ receives the struggles of the offense are far from his fault.

Why would anyone pitch to the only 2 guys in the lineup that can hurt you?

Are you suggesting that Ortiz and Pedroia are getting pitched around?

A smart pitcher would pitch carefully to them considering the weakness of the rest of the lineup.

EEI made a point that Lackey would be an attractive trade piece with that option, although it might need to be renegotiated.
