He doesn't know what he's talking about here.

I'll admit that here, since I despise the Pats.

The typical Pats QB in your lifetime is a first ballot Hall of Famer, so if you meant Jimmy Garoppolo will not be as good as Tom Brady you are probably correct. He is not like Drew Bledsoe or Scott Zolak either, but I am pretty sure you were not referring to them.

OK, Teddy Bridgewater just went down in my estimation. Sure, most players with any sense wouldn't want to play for a shithole team like the Browns, but you don't come out and SAY that, publicly.

I included Bledsoe in my reference point. I can't imagine the Pats with a scrambling type QB.

Garoppolo runs a 4.94 in the 40. He isn't slow like Brady and Bledsoe, but he's not exactly a scrambling QB.

Steve Grogan was a very good QB and he could scramble ( mostly because he had to! ).

Young Doug Flutie too.

Effective pocket QBs generally don't need to scramble very much.

Brady can barely run but he sure knows how to move in the pocket and avoid disaster most of the time. The same with Manning ( the good one! ).

That was the scouting report on Brady even out of Michigan. Not so much on Garoppolo.

Why not? It is better for both parties that he is being honest about his preferred destination. It's also his only form of leverage as a draftee.
