Strasburg isn't pitching like a Cy candidate today. Neither is Verlander. Harper is a guy who runs into injuries. Too intense. Almost got hurt today.

Why does everybody always pick the Rays? They can't hit for crap. The Red Sox are still the defending champs, and we don't really know if they are better or worse. A chance they are better.

The most overrated team in baseball might be the Dodgers. Poor game last night. Mattingly blew it taking out his starter in a shutout after only 88 pitches. The folly of pitch counts. They can hurt if used incorrectly.

I go back to the good organizations--Cards, Pirates, Giants in NL; KC, Red Sox, Rays, As in AL.

Official according to who? And what has Tampa Bay done to prove they should be frontrunners to win the division?

I just want to see two things - Red Sox win the division and get into the playoffs. Everything after that is gravy...

Yankees miss the playoffs, and watch their fanbase implode! ;-)

Rays did not have to do a whole lot. If Archer just develops the way his first year portended, if their defense is still strong. The separation between us and them was not huge to begin with. I don't call them frontrunners, but co-favorites with us? No doubt.

If they lose Matt Moore to TJS, that could be disastrous for them. But we know they are far too lucky for those kinds of issues.

We've all gotten hit with these injuries so early in the season---us, the Rays, the Yankees and other teams not in our division. I know injuries are a part of the game but this is getting out of hand. I can't recall a bigger epidemic of maladies so early in the season......and we need Victorino and Middlebrooks as soon as can be managed.
