As a UConn fan that's now going to Syracuse, I'm getting used to not hating SU. That said I hate Duke just as much (or even more) as both UConn and Syracuse hate Duke. Pretty much everyone hates Duke now that I think about it.

If anyone was curious, Shabazz was the last name of Malcolm X. It means "a people mighty and glorious in Arabic." Titana is a Greek name, and has even been used by Shakespeare in "A Midnight Summers Dream."

I'm generally pretty open to most things. However, the scenario Jacko is talking about IS a problem. 59% of black American women, and 35% of Hispanic women with 2+ children have multiple fathers. This is not good for society. It may not be their fault -- and hell it probably isn't -- but it is not good for society.

First off, the names themselves. rjortiz is wrong, as usual. His sister's name is Titana, not Titania which is the name in Midsummer Night's Dream. But let's say she spelled the name right? Okay, let's look at the other options in that same book. Peaseblossom, Cobweb, Mote and Mustardseed. They are named from Shakespeare, but only a f***ing idiot would name their kid one of those names. Also, picking a name for a daughter that shortens to "Tit" or "Titty" is sure to give her a complex. Now onto Shabazz. I know what the name means. I also know it was a last name of an influential African American leader. Doesn't mean it works as a first. Also, the kid isn't Arabic and the name just sounds like a bad party.

 

Now on to step two, in the multiple steps of laying down the law for the uneducated. Just because I don't like a name doesn't mean I am a racist. I've seen some ridiculously stupid names. I did have a young white girl who wanted to name her kid "Urine". But immediately throwing the race card into things makes you a racist. And f***, the kid is pretty much half white as even though his mother is Hispanic, she's most likely gotten the majority of her DNA from Europe (ie she's a Caucasian)

 

Step 3, the absolute hilarity of this thread is the fact that professional attacks are made at me. So because I have an opinion makes me a bad physician? Lol. Opinions are what we have and what are allowed, deal with it child.

 

Step 4, I will absolutely stand behind my comment on the fact that Shabazz is one of three kids with different dads raised by the same mom. I am not slut shaming. I am stupid shaming. If you are gonna be a whore, at least use protection or get on the pill. We are Americans, if you want to be a whore (man or woman) you are allowed to, but use protection. The fact that she had THREE kids with three different guys points towards very poor decision making and stupidity. Make one mistake, you learn from it. Make 3? Then you're a moron.

 

Step 5, those decisions made by said mother allowed Napier to have no father figure, grow up in a s*** hole like Roxbury and guess what, allowed for you and me to pay to support them. You don't think that caused some issues for young Shabazz? And let's say he wasn't otherworldly at basketball. Let's say he had no translatable athletic or musical skills. Where would he be? Statistically, where would he be?

 

So those are the 5 steps to educate the youth on this site who feel the need to support everything and not comment on big problems because the world is beautiful and everything's great! what do I do? I am a retired former CEO of a major company who enjoys his time lounging around in Upstate NY. Now I am doing what I love to do, on my time for my occupation. Other than that, eat s***.
