10/17 ALCS Game 5 @ Tigers

Verlander is pitching better than Scherzer lately, plus the Sox have the momentum, so I figure they will end it tomorrow night.

Regardless of what happens, I will say that Cherington deserves a hell of a lot of credit for distributing the money and finding the right chemistry--on the field. Plus the manager and the coaches for doing their job splendidly. You've got some awards coming to this team here after tying for the best record in baseball in the toughest division. My hope is they don't change anything next year--except maybe to find Dempster a good home. Though he still may be heard from in the playoffs--in the bullpen.

 

It's interesting that two similar teams, the Red Sox and the Cardinals, with baseball's best records, are up 3-2 with 2 games left at home. Chances are they will meet in the World Series. Hope so.

I'm pretty pissed too. I was going to see if I could snag some facevalue tickets tonight, but stubhub prices have skyrocketed. I then go onto facebook where all the pink hats with rich fathers are saying they are going to the game, after not watching a single game all season. f*** not having money.

My excuse is that, for god knows what reason, I signed up for a speed dating event last week when I was half in the bag, and it goes on tonight. As I speak now I have zero interest in going, but it's non-refundable so I might as well. Chances of seeing bits of the game there are slim because from what I've researched it's one of those snooty hipster clubs that would probably throw me out for even mentioning sports.

 

I reiterate the fact that I need a some kind of e-breathalyzer attached to my bank account.

I think this Tigers team is the toughest test we're going to face in this postseason. I don't deal in guarantees but if we beat these guys, I think whoever we draw in the Series isn't going to be quite as difficult. If we beat Detroit, we will have gone through the gauntlet of the AL ERA leader, the CY Young, and a guy who won both the CY and MVP award in 2011 and came out on top.

 

Anything can happen but I like our chances.

 

This is putting the cart way before the horse, but the Cardinals are a tremendous baseball team. Every bit as good as Detroit.

On a different note, Hispanics across America, a non profit group is making signs saying Randy Levine is the devil and handing the out to anybody that will hold them up outside of a-fraud's trial. You don't have to know anything about the case, just know that a-fraud is Hispanic, I guess that means he's innocent. I honestly don't know how no one mentions reverse racism in any of these articles.

 

Reverse racism? How can racism be reversed? It's either racism or not. By saying reverse racism it is being implied that people other than whites cannot be racist? Lol what a joke.
