I get so f***ing mad/sad when the Sox lose. I think it might be a good thing I work all day tomorrow.

I hate it but I live and die with the sox and patriots. 2012 was a complete mental breakdown year for me

Ooookay, I think we all need to take a step back and review our choice of insults. There is hatred for the Rays and then there is just going overboard.

No kidding. Taking it way too far overboard.

Price doesn't deserve another shot after his little bitch fit. He should have to live with that without getting a shot at redemption. He's a whiny little jock that came up as small as you can on the big stage. f*** him

A part of me wants to see him have to pitch again just so they can destroy him a second time.

Sox played and Managed a tight ...bad game....Stubborn ass Farrell needs to figure out he is in the post season now and stop his regular season ********. We had our foot on their necks but played like this was some spring game in April and it bit us right in the ass.

Farrell needs to smarten up and the Sox need to loosen up and play like they can. We played down to the Rays level today and as a result it just turned into a free for all with both teams unable to win the game....just boiled down to one team losing it before the other team had a final chance to lose it.

And yes or said it the way I said it...if you were going to be so ballsy as to take Ortiz out then make the players play to the plan. If not leave him there where he belongs. I did not think they should have taken him out either...especially the way the Sox played the rest of that inning. Honestly though that was only one of several in game gaffs that Farrell made.

I'm out tomorrow guys, I can't do this s*** for two nights in a row. I'll check in during the game but I won't be able to bring myself to sit down and watch the whole thing. It's just too much.

Seriously, this.

Frustrated people typing out stupid letters on a keyboard. Big deal

Well then let's continue that line of reasoning and say that's its about images on a television screen.

Can someone with mojo start the gamethread before Thunder ninjas it?

I'll put his nuts in a vise if he goes there. He knows better. I nominate Mike.

The rays are a team that we have to bury... can't give them a chance to make something happen late in a game. Peavy needs to throw a gem tomorrow and the offense needs to tee off on Hellickson

And I would not be so fast to anoint the Rays as series winners based on tomorrow's outcome. at least I don't want the Sox playing tight baseball again. They played tight today and that did not work out so good.

To be honest 2011 hurt twice as much. If this was a regular season game, I would have let this one go. The playoffs scare me, especially because I have high expectations. We're in good position still, but anything can happen. We really need to end the series tomorrow.

Man these threads are something else lol. I don't get the hatred for the Rays, by the way. Yes, Luke Scott and Josh Lueke ... but from a baseball standpoint the Rays are really likable. Ton of respect for a team that consistently competes with the Yankees and Red Sox despite having so little money to spend.

Anyway, that's as good a postseason game as you're gonna get ... shame someone had to lose. I wonder if Maddon is considering Moore on three days rest.

Goofus comes onto a site dedicated to an opposing team, after his favorite team has been eliminated from relevance, and cranks the doucheometer up to 11 when the opposing team loses a game while already up 2 games to none.

Gallant comes onto a site dedicated to an opposing team after the same game, and makes a reasonably intelligent baseball-related post and seems genuinely interested in the excitement of the baseball game rather than who won or lost, and manages not to even wiggle the needle on the doucheometer

This is how to be a Yankees fan on a Red Sox website ^

Take notes, jacko, even though I assume they'd be in crayon.

Why do you even bother? It's even worse that he feels entitled now pulling this off because everyone flipped their s*** after his first post and yeszir tried to get people off him.

His first post was fine, his last one was what I was referring to. Besides, as long as I'm not making homophobic slurs and over-the-top death wishes, insulting Yankees fans is still worthwhile. He knows it's going to happen, it just needs to be dialed back to a 6 or 7 out of 10, instead of 15. In other words, when you go at Jacko, be Daniel Tosh and not Michael Richards.

That's why i call him a U-Haul truck and move on. However, i understand why people are infuriated and won't let go of his welfare comment. The hilarious part is that some of the people he was referring to probably have a bigger bank account and a similar education to him. But he just has to be a dildo about it.

It's ridiculous to me that no one gets it. I know nothing about jacksonianmarch as a person, but if he's the huge attention seeking troll that everyone makes him out to be why does everyone insist on getting into back and forth quote wars with him over absolutely nothing? Why start a post with "why bother" and then use literally the next sentence in that same post to continue the same fight?

And then it turns into a s*** storm and everyone feels justified in escalating it and then I'm the bad guy for calling everyone out on being idiots.

If you guys want me to be ban happy and get the ship in order I'm happy to start enforcing all the rules you want about no trolling, no swearing and no duplicate user name use. Just let me know.

Or, we could just watch baseball and talk about it. Whatever.

This would be nice. I would like to participate in the game thread, but there's just no point.

I think you took it the wrong way. When i said why bother i meant that it isn't worth it. He's seeking attention and people are giving it to him in droves. You were justified in trying to get people to lay off him because it was quickly taking over the thread, and it wasn't something worth banning him or anything.

What i'm trying to say is that, while some (all?) of his comments piss people off, that's the whole reason he makes them. Sorry if that came out wrong.

I get the 'words on a computer screen' point, too. But it's a bit of a straw-man. I don't think anyone is offended. The point is that it's silly and it would just be nice to talk about baseball ... not the announcers, the Rays fans, Joe Maddon's glasses, Joe Maddon's hair, etc etc.

And FYI -- the Rays do have good fans. Their TV ratings are consistently very good. Lots of factors go into the sparse attendance, one of which is not the quality of fans that they have.
