Bogaerts was born to play baseball. The kid looks like a natural. After years and years searching for a long term solution to short and after dealing away Hanley we now have Bogaerts. I enjoyed this season as much as any before and I find myself already looking forward to 2014. Go Sox.

Man, so you're telling that a700, he who claims to never be wrong, was absolutely and completely wrong about this team? Because there's a loooooong way between 4th place in the ALE missing the playoffs, and best record in baseball.

In his defense, i didn't think we'd be this awesome either. I thought we had a shot at the division but best record in baseball? Even I'm surprised and I'm the guy who stays optimistic even when the writing's on the wall in all caps with sharpie marker.

Hey, i predicted 90+ and a playoff spot. I was pretty close.

Every single person who predicted the Red Sox to win high numbers started pretty much every post with "if Lester and Buchholz...".

I think based on Clay's health, I don't think there is a single sane person who predicted this.

Then MANNYHOF24 is insane, because he predicted 95 and an AL East title.

Last year, the naysayers had their "I told you so" fun. This year, it's the guys like you, me, RSFFL,SFF, and all the other optimists' turn to bask in the glory of correct predictions.

This is working out pretty good for Koji. Two days off, and an inning of work. He has gotten just about the right amount of work here at the back end of the year. Probably will pitch once more, hopefully the last regular season game depending on what happens in the next to last game. Hopefully the A's will lose tonight.

Right, so why the f*** are you defending a700? He basically spent all of the offseason s***ing on the team and its chances. More astute observers kept noting that just playing to career averages would have the Sox playing for a playoff spot, and some luck could take them all the way. Those observers were laughed out of the house.

Just sayin'

Again, i cannot stress enough how much Buck Showalter can go f*** himself. No smug smile tonight, you tubby piece of s***!

I second this. And I will also add that it brings me infinite amounts of joy that the Yankees will miss the playoffs in Mo's last year and his final Toilet appearance was mop-up duty in a 4-1 loss.

You're right. The only point I was making was that even someone as hardcore optimistic as me didn't predict this level of awesome.

There really was no fun last year for anyone, and there really was little "I told you so" fun last year. The Sox losing is just not fun. Personally, I have been wrong two years in a row. I had predicted that they would be good in 2012, and this year I predicted that they would be a bad team. LOL!! It's much more fun being wrong this season than last season.

The yankees are gone like a fart in the wind. I just hope the latest chapter of the a-roid saga doesn't take center stage while the Sox are steamrolling through the post season.

The best Oakland can do is tie us at 97 wins. Do they have the tiebreaker over us?

If that is true then I'm pretty sure we already have home field advantage.
