The Dodgers will give him 10/280 IMO.

I'd be surprised if he didn't end up in LA. That would be outrageous, by the way, that lineup.

And the Yankees would be so, so bad without Cano.

But probably better setup to contend in the future. I'm firmly in the let Cano walk camp. The whole long term contract thing doesn't work out well for the Yankees, or almost anyone else for that matter. Let the Dodgers pay an outrageous sum of money for his decline.

Where does this Dodgers thing keep coming up? Don't they have Kershaw and Hanley to satisfied first?

They have no budget. Like, at all.

They're like the early 2000's Yankees. Just spend.

They will probably lock up Kershaw, HanRam, and Cano.

I don't believe that. They don't need Cano. They need Kershaw. They do need Hanley too.

Awesome, cano will get his 10 years at $305,000,000.00 (I had to write it out cause it's so ridiculous), then while the Sox are winning another World Series in the future, cano will opt out in the middle of the game and be re signed for half a billion. Let's be honest here, cano is a lazy bum that's been feeding at the steinbrenner trough for way to long now, no one will ever pay him enough to leave.

Who has outspent the yankees since the early 2000's?

Hal says "what are you doing, Dave?" er, I mean, he says no to ten years for Cano. Good. It's nice to see some semblance of sanity. Ten years would put Cano through age 41, and surely no other team is gonna look at the fiasco of A-Rod's current contract and sign Cano up for that?

Okay, this is easy. Cano remains with the yankees cause no one else will pay him more than they will. Case closed.

Sadly, I think you are right. There is absolutely no reason for the Yankees to be paying a guy for 3-4 more good years and 4 bad ones
