Oh my God Ells what the f***. Another run would have been really nice here especially with Ueh out of the game. This team better wake up some time this month or next or they will find themselves playing golf instead of baseball.
Koji is still in the game.

Amazing how Ueh forces the hitter to swing...everything is a strike...and even his dipping, zipping, zinging s*** stays in the zone

Great win.

I thought we would win 1 and 3 and lose game 2. Looks like I got 1 and 2 mixed up.

Go out there and pound Capuano tomorrow and win this series. Dodgers haven't lost a series in 19 series. Put that s*** to an end!!

4 out save - Farrell had a good day - atoned for the mistake from Tuesday. His best reliever got the most important out ... and then rode it to the finish.

Lester has looked great against the NL teams. Maybe some NL team wil make a nce offer to us for him.

Yeah I doubt he pitches this like this vs the Skanks, Tigers or Rays. His control isn't very good today and got lucky 3 times.

Koji stats are out of this world.
The guy has been money in the bank, but he has been excellent his entire career. It makes you wonder why no other team had installed him as their closer.

Uehara MVP. The guy throws about 5 different pitches for strikes. Amazing.

Farrell almost blows it taking out Lester. The ump refused to give him strike 3 against Crawford--three straight pitches around the strike zone. Why take him out with a shutout? 101 pitches? Lester was pissed when the Dodgers got those two runs.

Isn't it time Tazawa got a rest? He isn't the same pitcher he was earlier.

I won't talk about Ells. There are enough brainfarts to go around lately.

Yeah--they need to lose some games. They are getting arrogant like the Yankees. So are their fans.

He wasn't exactly durable enough to be entrusted with the closer title. The O's got a nice deal back for him.

Having Lester pitch like this make a huge impact on the starting pitching. Really we are winning these days when we do win on starting pitching and Ueh. At least in the NL games it has been tough to get to Ueh though. Farrell may have to start to trust these starters a bit more so that it is easier to get to Ueh.

With Lester pitching like this, even without Buch this is a really good rotation. That said, they probably still need Buch to make a real run at it. This team has the potential to go a lotta' innings without scoring many runs. There best shot seems to be being able to go toe to toe with starting pitching in a seven game series. Without Buch they might lose game one to somebody like Detroit. But after that they can go head to head with anybody. Then again, in a seven game series, you are facing some monster like Scherzer in games 1 and 4.

Lester looked good again, and that is big. I missed the whole game. I was volunteering at a fundraising event.

BTR mojo prevails again!

The Sox should try to get Seager from the Dodgers this offseason.

I would be happy to go into next season with Buchholz - Peavy - Lackey - Doubront - Workman.

I hope they don't have that rotation. it's prone to injuries, regression and inexperience. We're lucky if 1 of them pitch 200 inning.

Workman Lackey and Doubront? They can all throw 200 IP.

Workman is a clear downgrade from Lester. I wouldn't break up the rotation during a championship window opening.

Is he? I mean Lester's got about a 4.00 ERA. He's a downgrade, but I don't think it would be crazy to expect a 4.2 ERA or so from Workman.

They all can. But will they? I doubt it. Just 31 starters last year in baseball toss 200+.

I guess I'm not as high on Workman. Although, he's been good so far. A 4.20 ERA wouldn't shock me.

A family who's father (I think) is a victim of a hit and run and is in pretty bad shape.

I think you have to be careful about getting ahead of the game. We haven't yet seen what they will do with the rotation when Buchholz returns. You have to be especially concerned about Dempster. He's one of the moneys, and we have no idea what their thinking is on him. Logically, he should go to the bullpen, where he might be a good backup for Uehara, since he has closed for the Cubs in the past. But that's logically.

I would add that Tazawa has not looked great lately in the setup role--throwing a lot of hangers and not focusing enough on his heat. Dempster could fill in there as well.
