Well, that was what vintage doubront was. 100 pitches by the fifth and he didnt pitch the sixth up until his last 10 or so starts.

Doubront pitcherd 6.2 innings in his third and fourth starts of the season, and had four 6 IP starts in a row from his 8th to 11th start. I know he's frustrating, but let's stick to facts here.

Lot's of negativity surrounds this team for very little reason. They have played consistently good all season.

Isn't that the norm?

Im talking more about last year. Plus including tonight, he has pitched less than 6 innings 8 times this season.

As much as I hate to say it, if the Rays pitching remains this good any team would have a tough time keep pace with them.

Will it though? It's impossible to sustain a hot streak like this for much longer. It's the nature of baseball.

Strike 3 to Lavs was just ridiculous. How the hell are you supposed to hit that?

I really want to see the Sox do something about the pen. If a starter allows the Sox to dance a couple guys around and gives them another good pen arm that would be OK but a starter just to have another starter does not do much for me. Need two pen arms.

Not sure who the Sox will bring up if anybody but the schedule coming up would be a perfect time to bring up a guy and let him get into a groove...build some momentum before the guy is stuck facing this sort of s***.

The Rays are very easy to dislike. Some way worse than Longoria. But there has to be a special place in hell reserved for horse face Texiera.

I couldnt have said that any better.

Funny...would be a pesky pole shot or something equally strange to finally get a run off this guy.

72 pitches in 6 innings. OK he throws a lot of first strikes. So take the next pitch, too. Chances are it won't be a strike. They'll never beat this guy swinging away.
