Did Lester even throw a curve ball tonight. The curve has been a very reliable set up pitch for Jon. Even earlier this year it was a reliable set up pitch for him. He does use it judiciously even under normal circumstances. I will have to look at pitchfx tomorrow to see but I really don't remember Jon throwing a curve tonight.

Looked like a lotta' missed cutters to me and maybe a few missed sinkers. Probably lucky the change was so far off. Changes for strikes would likely have been catwalk cannon fodder the way he was throwing. I did not see anything breaking big enough nor the way a curve breaks. He was missing so badly that there might have been more curves mixed in there than I remember. I will check tomorrow.

They need to do something with Lester. Last 5 starts...

He's walked 3 more in his last 5 starts than he did in his first 10. His mechanics are off. He's flying open instead of staying closed, leaving his ball up and when he flies open quickly, he's missing up and away. They might need to skip him or DL him with a phantom injury to undo his mechanical issue

They say that arm problems can manifest themselves initially as command problems. He either has a physical issue or a mental issue, but he is seriously screwed up.
