His problems seem to begin and end somewhere between his ears. He started the game nipping at the edges from hitters 1-9. Send Mickey Mouse to the plate and Lester is nipping at the edges.

 

Once he could not be that fine, he came in a bit more and got drilled. Once plan B did not work he went back to nipping only now he was aiming the ball. Once a pitcher starts aiming the ball, forget his mechanics...they are shot. But it all started because he does not feel like he can challenge anybody anymore. Maybe he can't.
